Sloan pretty much confirmed the obvious: C.J. Miles is going to start and Andrei Kirilenko is going to come off the bench for opening night.

Thanks Ben
I was about to post the same thing. Do you sleep at all or do you just browse SBN sites all night? This was posted at about 3 a.m. your time.

I, for one, am happy to see new content late at night/early early morning.
I'll make it.
But this surprises me
I thought KK would get the nod given his pre-season play. I guess Jerry wants that offense coming off the bench.
So here’s your opening night starters in light of Deron’s injury,
Price
Brewer
Miles
Boozer
Memo
I don’t know how I feel about that yet.

I'm scared
I have no idea why CJ is starting, but it’s not a good thing, based on the preseason.
The Utah Jazz. The Jazz... duh.
The best NBA team in Utah... no doubts about it!
Playing For Pride. Pirates, Utes, Panthers, and more...
Because, in the end, only one team can "win it all".
CJ deserves a little more time...
to prove he is worth the starting lineup. Sloan said he needs to see what CJ does in the regular season. And more importantly, I think he likes the idea of having Korver come off the bench to add some fire to what has been a lackluster bench in the past.
The more you try to erase me, the more that I appear.
I thought that's why AK was going to the bench.

I think it is really important to have a great bench.
I think strengthening the bench and balancing starters and the bench has worked really well for the Spurs in recent years and I like the idea of having Korver and Kirilenko come off the bench.

I agree...
based on 2 things.
1- CJ doesn’t totally blow it as a starter
2- Deron is playing.
Deron out and CJ starting really decimates the starting 5.

Luckily we have a soft schedule to start the season.
We have a Carmelo-less Nuggets team the first game and I think Price will play well against Iverson and then we have two games against the Clippers and then home games against Portland and OKC. So the Portland game is the only one that shouldn’t be a guaranteed victory.
