Video of Deron Williams' Injury

UPDATE: Here's the link to the video since ESPN doesn't want this one embedded. The video from NBA.com doesn't show how the injury happened. It just cuts to Deron laying on the ground.

This ESPN video states that Deron came down awkwardly. Why doesn't it say that he came down on Rose's foot?

And I love the ESPN title for the video, "Jazz Lose Williams But Top Bulls, 88-80." Shouldn't it be the other way around and read, "Jazz top Bulls, But Lose Williams" ? There title makes it sound like winning a pre-season game against Chicago was more important.

Good thing it didn't happen to Chris Paul. We'd have to have a national day of mourning.

FYI

It’s mourning, not morning.

A little Dash of Optimism.

Worst case scenario, Deron misses the first 18 games or so. The good news is that 10 of those games are at home and 13 of the games are against teams that should be really bad this year. But it is more likely that Deron only misses the first 12 games or so.

The more you try to erase me, the more that I appear.

Only the first 12 games or so??

NO!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, this is like the worst thing that could happen.

I don’t even want to watch the video.

Me either.

Not watching the video.

1 month equates to…
Denver, LAC, @ LAC, Por, OKC, @ NY, @ PHI, @ WAS, @ CHA, @ CLE… at least. Maybe PHX & MIL too.

The game after that is @ SA… we need him back for that for sure. And I’m not sure about going on a 5 game road trip without Deron…

in other words, hopefully it’s a Grade 1 and he’s back before the end of the preseason (highly, highly doubtful).
