Some Love for Williams and Brewer

Some of you have probably already seen it, but Hollinger came out with a piece today on breakout players for the upcoming season.  Even with the injury, Hollinger predicts that Williams will be a breakout player this year.

He also mentions Utah's own Ronnie Brewer under the stealth All-star group.  Brewer has been getting a lot of love from ESPN experts this offseason, and I don't hesitate in saying that along with Deron Williams, Brewer is my favorite Jazz man.  I love his athleticism, effort, and dunking exhibitions.  On the live game feed last Friday, some fans were debating about Ronnie's ceiling.  I am one of the fans who thinks Ronnie Brewer will make an all-star team while with the Jazz.  I think he is 3-5 years away from being an all-star, but he is in the top 3 of shooting guards under 25 in the league on my list.  So what do you all think?

I voted yes, and as a member of the Jazz

But with the plethora of guards in the West, it will be tough. He’d most certainly have to be voted in by the coaches. And to do that, it might take a couple years of decline from the other guards in the West before he gets that vote. Isn’t there a final roster spot vote by the fans? Or is that just MLB?

If he’s close to consideration by the coaches, the Jazz had better launch an all-out Brewer campaign.

i like brewer too...

but i think it all depends on how the jazz’ roster situation shakes out. ronnie will have to get (by working to deserve) more PT in order for him to have a shot at the all-star team.

i’d love to see him in the dunk contest (and that i think he has a good shot of making)…
