Lakers already clinched West?

According to

http://www.nba.com/standings/team_record_comparison/conferenceNew_Std_Cnf.html

right now, the Hornets have already clinched the SW division and the Lakers have won the Western Conference.  Very Interesting.

Maybe it is just an honest mistake, or maybe (probably) it is just put in that way automatically so other teams in the West will mentally prepare themselves for what is to come.  Either way it's just dumb, because we all know the Jazz are going to be #1.

David Stern has some explaining.

If NO ends up winning the SW and the Lakers win the West, we will have a conspiracy on our hands. And I will start a riot.

The more you try to erase me, the more that I appear.

Fixed now.

But, due to alphabetical order, Minnesota is currently ahead of Utah. Interesting.
