I don't think the Olympics had anything to do with the current injuries to Williams, Boozer, and AK.
First, I don't care how much rest you've had and how great of shape you're in, if you land on someone's foot like Deron did, you're going to get a sprain.
With Boozer's injury, he came down awkwardly as well. He had been playing great before that and didn't look like the Olympics had an impact on him.
And AK, well I guess it could be. But he's always had a history of missing games here and there due to minor injuries.
And as mentioned in the article, non of the other Olympic players are having issues.
Plus, these guys are all-world athletes. Playing in the summer shouldn't affect them. They probably play as much in the off-season in pick-up games and other activities.
The dinosaur of the bunch, Jason Kidd, has played all year. If he is still doing it, there's no excuse for anyone else.
