Miami Heat @ Utah Jazz - Game Thread
Miami Heat at Utah Jazz, Dec 3, 2008 7:00 PM MST
Sorry, not much of a preview tonight
Boozer's mates are in town.
Dwyane Wade will play tonight with a migraine. So please, be quiet.
Deron may or may not play. Hadn't heard as of 15 minutes ago.
See you in the comments.

Now it's changed to iffy.
Here’s the original headline,
Utah Jazz: Kirilenko, Boozer both still sidelined; Williams will play tonight

Another day, another game
fewer salary cap questions from me, I think (hope).
But kinda on the topic, The Cowhide Globe had a post up wondering about Kaman for Booze. What’re everyone’s thoughts here?
i guess my answer would depend on
how optimistic/pessimistic i am feeling on a particular day about how kk2’s going to develop
but my gut instinct is to say yes
As I see it
if need be, Kaman & Okur can be the starting bigs, with ‘Sap off the bench. Or Okur off the bench with AK if he’d okay it.
I dunno
just at a glance that trade fills me with “meh.” Kaman is injured right now too, you know.
"SHOCK THE WORLD!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
compared to booze, kaman is limited offensively
but the image i have in my head of boozer “playing” D makes me want to say yes to this
Yeah.
I’m not sure. But the question becomes… is it better than losing Booze for nothing? Or max-ing Booze and losing Okur or AK or ’Sap?
D-Will
I love to watch him shoot. It isn’t perfectly fundamental form somehow, but you just know it’s going in.
"SHOCK THE WORLD!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
Dang.
Hot Rod keeps saying “radio only”
Yahoo!’s preview said KJZZ.
I wish they would just make up their minds and put it on KJZZ.
Wade gets bailed out
it’s ridiculous how he gets to the line.
"SHOCK THE WORLD!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
okay
we’re getting a little too careless, and they’re starting to read our oop passes.
MAN we’re playing fast. I’ve never seen pace like this from a Jazz team.
"SHOCK THE WORLD!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
Koof sighting
hopefully he’s as solid tonight as he was in Sacto. Minus the fouls.
"SHOCK THE WORLD!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
Mo Nuts
trying too hard. This ain’t the D-League, man, you can’t just dribble penetrate whenever you feel like.
"SHOCK THE WORLD!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
So they can just wipe those 2 or 3 seconds from the game and start the third period over?
Clock problems and they’re just going to back to 12:00 and start again. Deron was just dribbling up the court when they stopped the game.
yeah, I was confused
I’m at work and can’t pay too close attention
"SHOCK THE WORLD!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
i was just thinking i'm going to bench all my jazz players until everyone (or most everyone)
gets healthy again. they’re killing me.
this is stupid sauce
Where is the energy from the first half? We were FLYING up and down the court. What happened?
"SHOCK THE WORLD!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
This game displeases me.
We sure don’t look like we’re at home.
"SHOCK THE WORLD!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
Plus
They’ve had injuries. He just got COY two years ago.

He didn't even deserve it then.
And he shouldn’t have been re-upped after that.
He wasn’t that good… just read the Raptors blogs…
not surprised
the Raps are underachieving. Smitch’s head has been on the chopping block since last season. Despite injuries, he’s not popular around Toronto town. Just watch the Jones for proof of that.
"SHOCK THE WORLD!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
Paul Millsap
is making an EXTREMELY convincing case to get the big cheddar. You can’t teach that kind of emotion and commitment he plays with.
"SHOCK THE WORLD!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
Mo Nuts
just got mugged. Got the call but it took serious damage before it came.
Does it seem to anyone else like this is Miami’s home court? Is that just me whining?
"SHOCK THE WORLD!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
Good gravy
this is epidemic. We’re talking MJ-levels of bailout-age. Someone has to do something about the ease with which Wade gets to the line.
"SHOCK THE WORLD!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
Mo Nuts
absolutely MUST hit those open 3s. That is supposed to be his specialty. I appreciate his effort, especially on the defensive end. He’s been playing with a lot of heart and energy. But we drafted him to take and make open 3-pointers. He has not done it.
"SHOCK THE WORLD!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
the Heat
are beating the CRAP out of us defensively. I mean really physically smacking us. I’m not sure how they’re getting away with reaching in so much. Even though we got the call there.
"SHOCK THE WORLD!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
That's why Wade came back in.
Needs to get some calls.
by Basketball John on Dec 3, 2008 9:16 PM MST up reply actions
well, it finally swung our way just now
until that call on Memo. Except that was dumb. You have to know if you’re going to show out on that high screen you can’t make that much contact.
"SHOCK THE WORLD!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
I dunno
I’m getting a “too little too late” feeling.
And Memo is playing like an idiot defensively. What the HELL are you doing reaching in on Chalmers 35 feet away from the basket?
"SHOCK THE WORLD!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
Mehmet Okur
is single-handedly losing this game for us. Terrible shot, terrible defense, terrible fouls.
"SHOCK THE WORLD!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
When's the last time anyone said that about him though.
The more you try to erase me, the more that I appear.
I think it is safe to say.
ESA is not a scary place to play anymore.
The more you try to erase me, the more that I appear.
I'm about to break my tv
…with my remote. Is that indolence I see on D-will’s face? WHERE’S THE FIRE???
frick frick frick.
I hate losses like that.
Plus, Portland won tonight. Say hello to two games back of the division lead. Bollocks.
"SHOCK THE WORLD!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
Deron Williams
Wow, that’s a hard pill to swallow but I thought they would lose before tip off. It was a back-to-back and they are playing a below par team.
Deron Williams got schooled by Chalmers. 6 TO’s! That is a joke. I am wondering if Williams needs to sit out another week to get 100%. It’s obvious he has lost a lot of explosion and it appears to mess with him mentally.
Granted Memo couldn’t hit his pecker with a handful of sand, but Williams wasn’t impressing me. If he keeps this type of play up he will for sure be watching the All-Star Game at home like the rest of us.
Frustrating to see Williams get stripped by Chalmers. Normally Chalmers couldn’t even hold Williams jock, but 6 TO’s are hard to see.
