You guys will probably hate me for saying this....

But, now I really hope that the Lakers go all the way and take it all. That is the only way I will feel better about last night’s loss. If the Lakers become the champs, then it’s better for the Jazz. Whereas, if another team wins, then the Jazz were just another team that got bumped off in the Playoffs. I know this may seem crazy, and it’s definitely not like I’m rooting for Kobe or Pau or Sashs (ugh), but it makes things seem a little better in the grand scheme of things.

I'd rather the Lakers get swept

in the next round.
In the grand scheme of things… we lost. Booze played like crap, Harp played when he shouldn’t have, and we’re coming home.
The Lakers winning would just make it worse… because we know if Booze had shown up and Harp hadn’t been guarding Kobe, we could’ve won the series (even with the refs reffing like they were).

I know

But, what’s done is done and this is the only thing that is helping me stay positive! haha. So, what are the REAL chances that we could ship Booze out and get LBJ, I mean seriously? That would be awesome. And, I have heard some of the commentators say how he probably won’t stay in Cleveland for long.

Plus, they are trying to sell Boozer as the next Mailman, but he is definitely not.

I don't know about a trade...

but LBJ is a FA in 2010.
With Deron, AK, Booze & Okur, there’s no way you fit LBJ in.
Maybe deal AK for a contract expiring then.
And who knows about Booze.

But first… have a player talk to LBJ and check to see whether he’d be willing to come here or not.

I’d love it if he did.

I don't know Danielle...

Malone wasn’t what you would call a “playoff performer” either.

No, but...

If Malone didn’t like you or the way you were defending you, he’d punch you.
If Boozer doesn’t like you or the way you are defending him, he’ll go sit in a corner and cry.

I know.

Boozer is a good player, but I just don’t think he is living up to the comparison. He often plays very sloppy. He has the ability, he just doesn’t always rise to the occasion which is frustrating. Deron on the other hand, is better under pressure in my opinion. (Aside from that potential game-tying 3 last night, but that ball needed a miracle to go in and I blame KK for not taking the first shot. Had KK taken it and missed it, it would have given Deron more time to get set for the shot he took, instead of the off-balanced, last second effort.)

Absolutely

That’s totally true. I actually checked Karl’s career playoff averages just to investigate, and he only had an extremely slight drop off in PPG (his rebounds actually increased slightly). So, if Boozer is going to play bad in the playoffs, he at least needs to take the Mailman route and pour in the same amount of points and rebounds per the regular season, and in crunch time he can disappear like a ghost for all I care, as long as Deron is on his game.

danielle, normally i agree with you about hoping that the team that beats the jazz going on to win it all so that the jazz’s elimination isn’t for nothing.

this year, however, i want spurs to beat NO so that everyone can stop kissing cp3’s ass, and then the spurs to beat the lakers.

i don’t care at all who wins the championship.

Agreed.

I’d like the Pistons to beat the Spurs to win it all (I don’t think Stern would enjoy that Finals match-up too much).... just to shut all the bandwagon fans (Boston, LAL, NO) up.

Do you have...

the video with 25ish seconds left when Kobe got trapped on the sideline? I was in a hotel room watching the game (4 blocks from the ESA), so I couldn’t rewind it. It looked like he pushed off AND traveled on the play, but I’m not sure. It was the best trap I’ve seen the Jazz do in months. Does anyone have that clip?

Sorry

I don’t. I should have been recording the whole thing. Scrum might have it if he’s reading stuff yet.
