Best news is that the Knicks dropped to 6
Meaning that they’ll be guaranteed a few more years of suckage and that 2010 unprotected pick will be very nice.

Knicks pick...
I was so hoping the Knicks went with Mark Jackson or Avery Johnson as coach. D’Antoni can do some interesting things with a team, but fortunately (for the Jazz) the team is a financial mess. Oh, and the mock draft with that Gallinari kid from Italy is a complete joke. He could be the second coming of Dirk, but the New York Knicks aren’t betting the future on an international player. If Mayo slips, he’ll go there, and the Knicks will be elated. Come on Memphis at #5 to grab the Mayo.

Doesn't Memphis need a big?
They have like 6 million PGs (slight exaggeration) after adding Crittendon, and traded Gasol & Swift away to end up with Kwame & Jason Collins. In that regard, the most recent mock at Ridiculous Upside has it best… Memphis going for best big available (though it’s a big reach), Mayo ends up going #3.
Ridiculous Upside gives the Knicks Jerryd Bayless, a combo guard (who is #4 in the NBADraft.net mock) that likes shooting contested jump shots a bit too much. They compare him to Gilbert Arenas & Jay Williams.
NBADraft.net gives the Knicks DeAndre Jordan… a raw youngster who they compare to Dwight Howard.
And they say this about him…
Still needs to add a lot to his game, so it’s unlikely he’ll be ready to contribute much after just one season at Texas A&M
Just FYI.
