Around SBN: 2012 Budweiser Shootout Entry List Released

With the 23rd pick...

So lots of draft stuff going on and not a lot from me.  I'm not the biggest draft expert, but Ridiculous Upside has all of the SB Nation sites participating in a mock draft.  Here's the main page for it and here's my pick.

Dude...

Learn how to draft you no talent hack! ;)

(I’m typing this as I am eating Peanut Butter M&Ms on a Friday afternoon.)

Trade Boozer to Miami for the #2 pick and take Beaseley.

Thanks man.

No trades for this mock though. And if you trade Boozer, add 3-5 years on to when the Jazz compete for a title.

You should've taken

Ryan Anderson.
Let him go out and bury three after three.
Who cares if we don’t play D? It’s not like the Jazz bigs play D all that well anyways.

The Utah Jazz. The Jazz... duh.
The best NBA team in Utah... no doubts about it!
Playing For Pride. Pirates, Utes, Panthers, and more...
Because, in the end, only one team can "win it all".

Hey, love your blog. My sister and I are huge jazz and nba fans. We have a blog and we were wondering if you would link it to your page? Its meyerjazztalk.blogspot.com. Let us know!

I'm thinking that maybe

Alexis Ajinca might be worth a look.
He worked out with the team today…

Of course… my wishes rarely work out.
Last year it was Corey Brewer.
Early this year (before Price), it was DJ Augustin.
Recently it was Ryan Anderson (2nd option now).
And now it’s Alexis Ajinca of France.
Maybe I should just shut up…

I thought about him

Should the Jazz not make any moves this year and simply want to draft a big man and stash him in Europe, he’s a good choice. Did you see that he has a 7’ 9” wingspan? Criminy.

yeah but...

He averaged a whopping 5 points in that French league last year… He may have upside, but if I’m KOC, I’m looking for someone who can help us out sooner than later.
