ESPN's recap of Team USA beating Turkey, 114-82. Not much from Deron & Booze in this game. We get a couple of split-second shots of them cheering.

Booze sucks... good riddance.

On 1280 this morning they laughed when he got put in late for garbage time. They said he is this team’s “victory cigar.” When you know he’s in the game is in hand.

What did Booze do...

to make you hate him so much? Is it just the speculation that he could be leaving? Are you really a Cavs fan in disguise? I’m just not seeing it. He’s had two great seasons with one sub-par postseason, and you’re calling for his head. Please enlighten me.
One another note, that was a sweet pass from D-Will to a streaking D-Wade at the end. I have all but forgotten how great of a player D-Wade is. It’s crazy what an injury-plagued season will do to your rep.

On another note...

I meant to say that… not one another note

Whoa

For a second I panicked and was thinking that the Olympics had already started and that I had missed a bunch of games. Why didn’t Memo play for the Turkey team?

Memo hasn't played..

with the Turkish team in a few years. He has said in the past he doesn’t want to risk injury. He could have different reasons now though. I would think that if they were actually playing in the Olympics, he’d be there too.

D-Will and Paul

I don’t think it’s a big deal that Paul is the primary backup point guard with Williams playing mostly the shooting guard position. If Deron was the backup point, Paul would rarely get on the court, since he can’t play the 2. I think if the team were to play it’s absolute best, Deron would be playing the point; but this way seems to be the best for everybody to get minutes.

I heard on the radio today

That Deron may start getting more minutes as opponents start moving to a zone D. He was the most effective today from what I heard. Paul and Kidd weren’t getting into the D as well.

vs. Russia

I really enjoyed watching the game against Russia. Deron was the most effective player on the court. Of course, as a huge Jazz fan, I was always rooting for my players to do well; even if it was AK for the Russians. I really enjoyed how Deron took the team from an 8 point lead to 20+.

On another note, watching AK play reminded me how I don’t want to lose him. Any way we can keep him?
