Very similar

luckily we let go of Fish & not Deron.
Look-a-likes… that could’ve turned out bad. :)

Great find!

The Utah Jazz. The Jazz... duh.
The best NBA team in Utah... no doubts about it!
Playing For Pride. Pirates, Utes, Panthers, and more...
Because, in the end, only one team can "win it all".

Those are classic.

Think we can trade that guy to another team for someone and still keep the real Boozer? “No really, that’s Carlos Boozer. If you don’t believe me, check out these pictures.”

LOL

at the D-Will/Fisher and Carlos Boozer/ random guy photos.

I like how they even state

that he’s #8. Seriously, whoever creates these captions for pictures flat out sucks.

apparently yahoosports doesn’t respect fisher all that much

as a newspaper dude

I can testify to the fact that copy editors (usually the folks writing the captions) are largely very un-savvy when it comes to sports. I got one of my first jobs in large part because I was a sports guy who wouldn’t let boners like these through.

I'll make it.

How hard is it though?

All they have to do is compare the number to a roster list, don’t they?

by Basketball John on Aug 21, 2008 12:11 AM MDT up reply actions

look at the Turiaf pic

his knees obscure the other number on his jersey — hence, why they assumed it was Derek Fisher. It’s precisely because most copy editors aren’t willing to do more than look at a roster list that errors like this slip through.

I'll make it.
