Around SBN: Steve McNair Found Shot to Death

"I mean, c'mon. If I could play, I would play all day long. People thought I was doggin' it or whatever, but I'm not that kind of dude. If I can play, I'll play through anything. And I've already played through a bunch of stuff that people don't know about.

"I know I'll be back before [the end of the season]. We've been able to stay above water without me, so when I get back for those 20 or 30 games, hopefully we'll be able to take off."

I don't doubt him...

… but I question his toughness. I guess I am just old school. In high school I played through the same quad injury that he had. I don’t know if they were the same extent but I had that same injury and still played. Now granted I wasn’t our number one guy and the team didn’t depend on me, but I just question his toughness. I don’t question the injury at all. And yes I am glad it happened on the court versus the golf cart.

Sorry to those who will get offended but I have to do this:

“I’ve already played through a bunch of stuff that people don’t know about. I had a hangnail, a zit that caused pain on my nose, and a paper cut that really, really hurt. Y’all don’t know what it’s like! I’ve played through some tough stuff.” – C Booz

i don't know if he's dogging it or not

but his definition of “could play” likely requires him to be 100%. i know we’re all spoiled with our history with stock and malone, but those guys played with strains, sprains, IVs attached, tendons flopping around…“boozer” and “toughness” should not be used in the same sentence.

I think it's a combination of both

I mean, no doubt Stockton and Malone DID play through some nasty injuries. But they also had the bodies that enabled them to do so. I think they’re linked. Boozer’s body, for whatever reason, doesn’t heal as quickly as Stock’s or Malone’s. Consequently, he has a lower tolerance for playing through pain and injury.

Uh, do you think you could draw me like a ninja?
