Brent Barry...

was just released by the Rockets. He may be too old to make a significant impact, but has something like a 40% career 3pt. I wonder if they’re looking at him to perhaps bridge the gap between now and when cj and korver are back.

I think he might cost more

Given the veteran minimum and of course anyone the Jazz sign would cost double because of the tax. Matthews might have the advantage there.

Cost is certainly a consideration...

makes me wonder what the Miller family is thinking at this point. They were willing to subject the organization to the tax, partly due to how things played out this summer, but also because they were willing to absorb some temporary pain (e.g. one year lux tax) in order to have a very competitive team. I know I’d be thinking: I’m paying double for some of these guys who are injured??

Bad news....

I think what the team should, and will do, is give Price a fair amount of minutes at the 2. AK and Brewer will just have to step up and play nearly 40 minute a game. Can’t do that the whole season, but for a while….

What sucks....

Is that no matter who steps up to play the two or three….no matter how good they do, Sloan will plug CJ or Korver right back in when they get healthy.

If someone like Matthews takes off or Price they should be able to finish what they start.

I totally agree with you.

And I don’t think CJ is in a position where he should be so solid in the starting role. But I would like to see Price get some minutes there. I really fell bad for Korver, as a knee injury is going to be alot tougher that a hand injury to return from. But, on the other hand (so to speak), maybe CJ will come back more agressive if he can’t just really on being a spot up shooter as much.

Blazer fan here Y'all! Sucks about Korvery. He has been money for you guys, but it sounds like the recovery from this surgery is not all that bad.

I think you’ll be fine.Boozer for a shooter? Looking forward to some good games as always with you guys this year! ( That joke of a preseason game where we looked like the London Sillinannies at the RG doesn’t count. )
