Deron Williams attempted Thursday to clarify his Twitter message from the previous night stressing the need for change in the aftermath of the Jazz’s 105-86 loss to the Boston Celtics, a game in which they never led and trailed by 22 after three quarters.

"Not like trades or anything," Williams said before the Jazz’s practice at Suffolk University. "Just we’ve got to do something. We’ve got to find something that works. Whether it’s lineups or what not, we’ve got to do something different."

"It’s not the end of the world," Williams added. "I didn’t mean to tweet like it was the end of the world. Just we’ve got to do something. I know the fans watching, I know the fans sitting at home, they’re not happy with us right now. I’m not happy with us, either."

Williams expresses concern

Hell yes it should be a trade. That's the only thing left. The fact that he says in his tweet that "something" has to change and doesn't list anything specifically speaks volumes.

I don't think he's going to come out and say trade Boozer (Korver, Harps's expiring deal).

If you're the FO and hear this, you have to be pretty thick to not know what's going on.

Once again, February is too late. January is too late. Last week was too late. There should have been something done by now.

We need a drastic change. We need to pick up Iverson. He may not be exactly what we need, but he provides a lot of potential – and by picking him up things can’t get much worse.

We need a shooter.

Iverson is what we need?

A ball hog who is a terrible defender and chemistry destroyer? Are you from Memphis?

by Frank5 on Nov 12, 2009 11:57 AM MST reply actions   0 recs

Memphis already had go to scorers

and SG was a major strength with Mayo. Iverson to Utah is nothing like Iverson to Memphis. We need a finisher for Deron, who can shoot, and a guy who can put up big numbers when the rest of the team can’t get them to fall. Iverson to Utah is not a bad idea considering the crapfest we are currently hosting.

Or we could just fire our coach.

That is the easy way to “fix” most teams problems, although it usually just makes things worse.

But Byron Scott can be added to the list of Coaches of the Year who were then shortly fired afterwards.

I am not advocating the firing of Sloan, bytheway.

In fact I am satirizing the idea that firing Sloan would fix anything.

@Chagorilla...

@Chagorilla… AI? Are you a Denvers’ fan or a Memphis’ fan?

Force Sloan to retire or have him move to front office… So that its not disgraceful.

Boozer also needs to go. However, Milsap is not the answer. He has been a dissappointment so far.

I am also unhappy with the way Milsap is performing, but it could be a result of the crap that is going down at the position right now. This could be a get your head in the game issue which may be resolved at boozers departure. Remember that his real coming out party was while boozer was out last year.

Millsap has been better than most people realize. see the new post on the mathletics breakdown.

He isn’t scoring tons, but he also isn’t shooting hardly at all, but he is rebounding very effectively and playing great defense.

The more you try to erase me, the more that I appear.

I'm a die hard fan.

With the current state of the Jazz I don’t see how obtaining Iverson could hurt. He may not help, but I think it’s worth the rick considering where we’re headed.

Absolutely. It’s not like this is some new problem that has just come up, most people knew the second Boozer decided not to opt out of his contract that he needed to go.

He can't be happy

I seriously cannot comprehend how anyone in the organization could be pleased with the fact that cancerous Boozer is still around!!!!!!!!! It’s obvious Deron isn’t happy. It’s obvious that the players aren’t happy because the chemistry is non-existent. It’s like they’re all just going through the motions until this situation is resolved. Then it’ll click that this is a real basketball team with real talent, real passion, and real desire. TAKE A HINT JAZZ ORGANIZATION!!! THIS SEASON IS WORTHLESS UNTIL YOU UNLOAD BOOZER!!!! Even if it is for absolutely nothing in return.

Let’s hope the Knicks keep losing.

The Sad Things Is

Larry would have never let this happen. He may not have forced KOC into making a trade, but you know he would have been all over the radio and TV calling out the players.

I think we all knew this would happen when Greg Miller took over as CEO. The media reports were that he wasn’t all that passionate about basketball, and even he admit that he knew nothing about the NBA, or basketball, when he took over as CEO. Greg Miller runs the team as a business (which is fine – ultimately, IT IS a business) and I don’t think he’s that concerned about winning. I think as long as the team is profitable, he’s not going care about the product on the floor. Especially since the organization sold all of the TV rights to FSN, and no longer have to worry about selling advertising during the telecasts.
