Hopefully Deron will receive word today concerning his daughter's medical issues. It was reported that they probably wouldn't receive the test results back until today.
Hopefully it's nothing serious.
Have to say that going 2-2 on the road trip is pleasant surprise. It would have been nice to steal that win in Cleveland, but considering our road record last year, .500 on the road is a bonus. And when you consider that we didn't have Deron for two of those games, it's even more impressive.
Let's hope we can get to the point where .500 on the road is a bad road trip.
Is it just me or does anyone else that is in their mid 20s to mid 30s still think of the Jazz players as being older than them? I still have to remind myself that I'm older than all of them.
Speaking of age, were guys like Stockton, Bird, and Magic ever not in their late 30s?
Eric Maynor and Wesley Matthews have done a great job filling in for their respective positions. They've been great on the offensive end and now need to work some on the defensive end. Right now, their opponents are out-scoring them. From 82games.com,

Also, from B-R.com it shows that Maynor had a DRtg of 115 and that Matthews' is 114. So they're giving up 115 and 114 points per 100 possessions.
We had this poll in the off-season I believe. But I would like to resurrect is again. We should probably have a pool on this. But when do you think Boozer will be traded?

this is, essentially, the same braintrust that
kept stockton and malone w/o a good 3rd guy for something like 80% of their careers.

What is double insulting is that ...
Charlotte was so desperate for scoring they took Jackson. How were we not able to make a trade for Wallace and Bell, or for Chandler? Charlotte would have jumped on that.

He can be traded immediately, if he is the only person being traded and not part of a package.
But the Warriors have to wait 60 days if they want to include Raja Bell in a package deal.

1 – I think it’s serious enough that D-Will had to come back home, but I hope it’s nothing that will remain chronic
2 – I’m cautiously optomistic about our play on the road right now, that said, it does not balance out with losing games at home (houston with all their injuries, sactown w/o kevin martin, etc)
8 – oh yeah, i remember when i figured out that i was older than the guys we were drafting . . . sad.

5. A better poll might be: As a fan what is your level of frustration with the Jazz?
A) None – the Jazz can do no wrong in my mind
B) Ehhhh – they should have done something by now but ehhh….
C) Mad – something should have been done by now!

It’s not the guys that are younger than me that bother me – it’s guys who are older than me. I can barely run three miles right now (mostly due to laziness, school, work, and fatherhood…but still) and there are dudes out there playing basketball every night that are four or five years older than I am. I wish I had the time and money to do nothing but train.
If Boozer keeps playing the way he has been for the past couple of days he’ll never get traded. But, he’s not coming back next year. I hope.
