Matthews is a really poor ball handler. Unless he is shooting, he doesn't know what to do with the ball yet.

I have a question.
I’m a Wolves fan and I’m wondering why Matthews is starting over Kirilenko. Can anyone tell me?
Basically, because AK doesn't mind coming off the bench and Matthews is a good outside shooter.
Coach Sloan also mentioned that he likes giving Matthews time with the veterans.

when he’s SA’s second best player and (in his prime) the 2nd best shooting guard in the league?
Because teams often do better with good players on the bench, rather than scrubs.

I am surprised that Sloan sat Williams for so long, if at all.
He has only played 26 minutes.

I understand and not being able to put away the raptors early is a problem.
But we aren’t playing tomorrow and we need him to play. He can’t go 40 minutes even if he plays the whole 4th.

like you said, getting PT at a different position (not his natural position) has a lot to do with it.

And he plays on the perimeter, but he was third in the league last season in free throws per minutes played. As a shooting guard. There are things you can knock about Kevin Martin’s game, but his ability to carry an offense isn’t one of them.
If he had someone to create open threes for him, I bet he would shoot about 50% from threes alone.

Deron with 21 and 10 is the equivalent of 32 and 14 against almost any other team. So few possessions.
Jazz also with a season low 9 turnovers.
