it's very unfortunate that memo is not playing

and i say that not just as a memo fantasy owner

now that I have boarded the Boozer love train

I need someone/thing new to hate.
I hate the NJ Nets for being the reason NY Knicks are not at the very bottom of the barrel.
Maybe we should trade Carlos to NJ just so they finish better than the Knicks.

Curious... why does everyone think that is?

1- Is it too early (it’s only 7 PM)?
2- Do people not have the money (or they’re saving it)?
3- People are sick of the team, even on a winning streak?
4- They were at the Utes or BYU game?
5- Boozer’s summer? Sloan (I’m sensing more negative feelings towards him this season than ever before)?
6- The overwhelming feeling that the Jazz aren’t going to win it all this year no matter what?

lowest attendance always happens during the first month of the season. plus i think people are sick of the team. it will take a substantial win streak to get people in to it this year i think.

To be honest, there is a level of disinterest in this team, even for me.

I realized the other night, that I don’t like to watch some of the Jazz guys play. and by some of the guys, I mean one. It’s not entertaining.

The more you try to erase me, the more that I appear.

if i was in slc

one of the first games i’d get tickets for is against the pistons, because traditionally (fact) we get good wins against them thanks to memo.

by moni on Nov 21, 2009 7:23 PM MST up reply actions   0 recs

I'm fine with it

because I’m not facing him in fantasy.

That said… it has to be a Michael Redd-type game (remember that? He gets 50… or close… Jazz win).

I'm at work. Does anyone have a link to the game?

The more you try to erase me, the more that I appear.

by clarkpojo on Nov 21, 2009 7:18 PM MST reply actions   0 recs

yes it is

i’ve tried using that site for 5 games and it only worked for a prolonged period of time for one of them.

i have two computers

and the one without the firewall streams fine. not that i’m advocating getting online w/o a firewall and other security measures.

He called that foul before DWill got hit. Love it.

Um...

I suggest the Jazz try to get a couple of rebounds every now and then…

Damn, I have both sets of those tickets..

And I can now get them for $38. I’m glad I like my seats.. :)

I think I have Eric Maynor's nickname..

Everytime I see him do something good I just exclaim Eric “F**king” Maynor! :)

by rxmike12 on Nov 21, 2009 7:39 PM MST reply actions   0 recs

if only booner could say that on tv...

would be the most hysterical thing ever

by bigdog'sshades on Nov 21, 2009 7:41 PM MST up reply actions   0 recs

Maybe we could bring Hot Rod back..

..and get him to say it by mistake.

by rxmike12 on Nov 21, 2009 7:41 PM MST up reply actions   0 recs

that would be an improvement!

He can still play too, right?

by RRR on Nov 21, 2009 7:42 PM MST up reply actions   0 recs

i think the closest we'll get to that

is hearing david james accidentally refer to boler/booner as boner

by moni on Nov 21, 2009 7:41 PM MST up reply actions   0 recs

The good thing about the nickname is that when he forgets to shoot..

..and tries to dump it off to a tall white center, I can use the same exclamation.

by rxmike12 on Nov 21, 2009 7:43 PM MST up reply actions   0 recs

hot rod..

would just show up drunk and probably slip it in there. the other day, i was watching an old lakers game that he was commentating back in the day. reminded me just how good he was though.

Mentioned it in passing over at TBJ

but, esp. with the injury to Rip, Gordon + CV31 over Booze is a no brainer. 2 guys are better than 1, and they need a wing w/ the injuries to Rip/Tayshaun

I was worried about this game. Could be an emotional letdown game.

They are close enough that they can still take control though.

I think that's the "problem" with watching the team this year...

Until they win like 5, 6, 7 games straight it always feels that way.

Booze Defense

Perfect example of why I hate Boozer. His defense at the 9:57 mark on the screen and roll. D-Will came down from the top of the key and got there before Booze, who jumped high on the screen. My high school coach is fuming out his ears if he saw that.

by P_Dizzle on Nov 21, 2009 8:33 PM MST reply actions   0 recs

another example is at the 7:15 mark

just move your damn feet! just act like you are trying

There's really no reason to have Fes in there right now...

He matches up with nobody since BWallace isn’t getting the ball inside. Let’s get ’Sap in there. Or Memo.

Has Brewer ever controlled one of those steals

And dribbled like a normal human? He always looks like he slaps at it even before one of his sick dunks.

we were right next to a vet clinic.

against everyone except LA. can’t think of any other lineup that it wouldn’t be good against.

locke: "The jazz defense has gotten a lot better"

you know why? bc boozer wasn’t playing. on cue, boozer checks in.

by moni on Nov 21, 2009 9:09 PM MST reply actions   0 recs

Locke

is horrible. One of the games I was listening to this was almost verbatim the commentary:
“A three. Rebound. Kick out. Three ball. Rebound Boozer.” Don’t know who was shooting or rebounding the other attempts, but something was going on.

I was driving with my wife the other night listening, and she said “What high school game is on?” I told her it was the new Jazz play-by-play and she said “Wow, he sucks!” My sentiments too.

You can’t tell me Millsap 18 footer was the designed play

by Juan B on Nov 21, 2009 9:29 PM MST reply actions   0 recs

DWill dribbled down to like 7 sec..

Pick and roll with Carlos – they doubled DW and Millsap ended up open… was sort of a half fadeaway jumper. Back iron.. no rebound.
