Game Thread - Sacramento Kings @ Utah Jazz

Sacramento Kings at Utah Jazz, Nov 7, 2009 7:00 PM MST

K Mart will be closed for about 6-8 weeks. I always though Kenyon Martin was K-Mart. Speaking of the store, we always called it Came Apart because of the junky stuff. Kind of applied to the players too.

Jazz!  Kings!  It's what's for dinner.

I probably won't be able to make the game thread, but I could check in mobiley.

Not that anyone is wondering

But I am on the laptop tonight, so my Blackberry with the broken “T” key won’t be a distraction. (Shums, salt in the wound a while back—hey, RIM is charging me 200 to get that key fixed. Just can’t splurge in this economy)

Denver’s not looking so good either.

I'm all for our conference doing good

but I really am finding myself disliking the nuggets at the moment

by Bobby Joness on Nov 7, 2009 7:07 PM MST up reply actions

If the Kings are going to score

they might as well give it to Hawes.

Sucks that Martin is having surgery

That just means the knicks get more competition

by Bobby Joness on Nov 7, 2009 7:24 PM MST reply actions

Deron showing his skills...

He goes glass and then causes the turnover on the other end. Nice.

by moni on Nov 7, 2009 7:36 PM MST reply actions

with this lead

we should give him some good playing time and see what he does with it

by Bobby Joness on Nov 7, 2009 7:42 PM MST up reply actions

funny you should say that

since lots of people say he reminds them of shandon

by moni on Nov 7, 2009 7:45 PM MST up reply actions

Ha, I hadn't thought of that

But now that you mention it, he really does. Okay, now I love him even more.

by shandonfan on Nov 7, 2009 7:46 PM MST up reply actions

Stupid foul by Price.

by Vromanite on Nov 7, 2009 7:50 PM MST reply actions

well.

that was straight up turrible.

The Jazz Way

Always play down to the level of your opponent.

by Vromanite on Nov 7, 2009 8:07 PM MST reply actions

I think

that’s a Utah thing… no matter the sport.

Seriouslly

That is the only thing that brings me comfort come playoffs, but we never seem to show up for those games.

Sounds like it

If it were me, I’d be bringing out the “walking out of the arena” birds. And I hardly ever leave Jazz games early.

by shandonfan on Nov 7, 2009 8:47 PM MST up reply actions

The Jazz are

deplorable, distressing, feeble, heartrending, inadequate, lamentable, meager, melting, miserable, paltry, petty, piteous, pitiable, pitiful, plaintive, poignant, poor, puny, rueful, sorry, useless, woeful, worthless, and wretched.

(c&p’ed from a thesaurus entry for “pathetic”)

by Vromanite on Nov 7, 2009 8:50 PM MST reply actions

Piteous =

deserving/arousing pity.

I’m going to say no.

"sacramento doesn'tk now how to win"

uh….we don’t know even less..or is it more? you know what i mean

by moni on Nov 7, 2009 8:56 PM MST reply actions

Lucky for Sacramento, we know how to lose really, really well

So they don’t really need to know how to win, they can just let us do our thing and see how it turns out.

by shandonfan on Nov 7, 2009 9:01 PM MST up reply actions

Booze is absolutely horrible at passing out of a double-team.

by Vromanite on Nov 7, 2009 9:01 PM MST reply actions

Balls!

Just tuned in again since 2nd Q.
Gotta be kidding me!!!
Booze’s fault??

by Juan B on Nov 7, 2009 9:03 PM MST reply actions

but yes

boozer is more responsible than others

by moni on Nov 7, 2009 9:04 PM MST up reply actions

Holy balls Ronnie WTF was that?

by Vromanite on Nov 7, 2009 9:04 PM MST reply actions

Oh good

Good to see Evans looking like an all-star. After all, he has a few games under his belt now.

by Juan B on Nov 7, 2009 9:04 PM MST reply actions

Can someone explain to me

why I remain a Jazz fan? I’m struggling with that question right now. I feel like a Lions fan a bit.

by mcjazzman32 on Nov 7, 2009 9:07 PM MST reply actions

Unlike the Lions

the Jazz have the potential to be good. It’s impossible to see sometimes, but it’s there.

by Vromanite on Nov 7, 2009 9:09 PM MST up reply actions

I think

we suck. We beat the clippers and an old, overrated Spurs team. We have lost to the rockets with nobody and the Kings with less, not to mention the 4th quarter raping in Dallas. I’m gonna be surprised if we win 40 games this year. Just terrible.

by mcjazzman32 on Nov 7, 2009 9:10 PM MST up reply actions

KOC -- Blow it up!

And by blow it up I mean, “get #5 out no matter what you get in return!”

by Juan B on Nov 7, 2009 9:10 PM MST reply actions

Maybe we should trade for Thomas or Prince since they probably have about the same value as Booze at the moment.

by Vromanite on Nov 7, 2009 9:13 PM MST up reply actions

incidentally

i really am sorry to everyone for whining so much

but i can’t help it

by moni on Nov 7, 2009 9:15 PM MST up reply actions

No need to apologize

This performance (and this season so far) warrants a fair amount of whining.

by shandonfan on Nov 7, 2009 9:17 PM MST up reply actions

How can Okur only have 2 FT attempts

He’s 3 for 12 from the field. What are the chances of him taking it to the hole more than once out of 10 attempts?

by Juan B on Nov 7, 2009 9:17 PM MST reply actions

Wow

just roll the red carpet down the lane for Beno.

by Vromanite on Nov 7, 2009 9:20 PM MST reply actions

wtf

that just made it worse. WHY CANTY THEY DO THAT FOR 48 MINUTES EVERY GAME?

by mcjazzman32 on Nov 7, 2009 9:20 PM MST reply actions

because like boozer

the rest of the team can only score when the pressure is off

by moni on Nov 7, 2009 9:21 PM MST up reply actions

nope

it’s just the NBA journeyman that deron and brewer are incapable of guarding.

by Mr. Bytheway on Nov 7, 2009 9:27 PM MST up reply actions

Man

I step out for one game thread and look what happens. I’m suppose to watch this and make a recap?

by Basketball John on Nov 7, 2009 9:22 PM MST reply actions

I would advise you not watch it

Rather, use Vromanite’s graphic and moni’s above “we suck we suck we suck we suck….” post, and you’ve got a very accurate recap. Watching it will just make you want to gouge your eyes out.

by shandonfan on Nov 7, 2009 9:28 PM MST up reply actions

david stern should pay the jazz

for the work the jazz does in boosting hte confidence of rookies and bad teams

by moni on Nov 7, 2009 9:25 PM MST reply actions

Mark my words here and now

If the Jazz don’t go at least 3-1 on the road trip, I’m giving up on them for the season. I’m gonna stop watching or listening to the games and I’m just gonna check final scores. I’m too tired to do this for another year. I’ll just look forward to New York’s pick.

Done. That’s it. UGH

by mcjazzman32 on Nov 7, 2009 9:27 PM MST reply actions

im not as smart as you

i just keep coming back for more because apparenlty i hate myself

by moni on Nov 7, 2009 9:30 PM MST up reply actions

Can someone tell me why Deron was on Evans?

Why wasn’t Ronnie B on him? Also, why do I put stupid stuff in my previews like this,

Evans hasn’t had a good start so far. He’s averaging just 11 & 4 so far and shooting just 35%. Let’s hope he doesn’t have his career game against the Jazz tonight.

Freak me.

by Basketball John on Nov 7, 2009 9:34 PM MST reply actions

Just got back from a day trip. Missed the game completely.

I just wish at this point, that we would start losing a bunch of games in a row, until the Jazz’s hand is forced to do something. Or else we just get a good draft pick. Because I don’t see this team being really good with who they have.

And BBJ. This is drastic, dramatic and controversial, but maybe we should get some Jazz bloggers together, like you and me and Moni and Utesfan and just post like a one line update about the team still having Boozer until something gets done. Basically, we don’t write about, or pay attention to the Jazz for a few weeks. Basically carrying out your threat that until something changes, we really are done with this team. Just a thought. Something needs to be done. We need to come together as a fanbase and voice our displeasure.

The more you try to erase me, the more that I appear.

by clarkpojo on Nov 7, 2009 10:24 PM MST reply actions

yall know how i feel about boozer

i am in, if everyone else. i agree that something needs to be done. if we do this, we should get all the blogs on board as a united front to have more impact. and there should be a really cool logo.
