I watch Hughes stink it up in Golden State for years.
Trust me, a team starting Hughes doesn’t have a good chance of winning.
Yeah, that game was an outlier. I hope. (And, in my defense, I think he came off the bench to kill us)
he started
but it’s not like he had a great game… just a great shot to finish it…
We were without our two best players as well…. (not to make excuses :P)
okay
Just ponied up over 2 bills for the new Blackberry. Undoubtedly it was my broken letter “T” that was jinxing things. Go get a win!

too trendy
Like being a Lakers fan or a Yankees fan.
I guess my phone choice says a lot about me—even when something breaks down and sucks, I always come back. Sad!

For some reason ESPN lists “no significant injuries” for Utah’s injury report. Is that a commentary on ESPN’s laziness, or a commentary on KK and CJ’s skills?
Is anyone watching this pregame shiz?
What is with all the crappy cutouts and graphics and stuff? And that “Magic Number” bit with Locke where all the random statistics kept flying by the screen?
Up the production values, please.
Uh, do you think you could draw me like a ninja?
hey
I’m at work until 2am, and I’m by myself where I’d usually have another person in my department. I’ll complain if I want to. :P
Uh, do you think you could draw me like a ninja?
so in other words
you can yell as loud as you want instead of having the other people living in your house accusing you of turning the house into an asylum and/or groan “oh no it’s that time of year again” …. haha…
All Head-Case Team
Thinking about the Knicks makes me think about Starbury, and all of the other headcases in the NBA. I would pay to see this team:
PG: Starbury
SG: Iverson
SF: Artest
PF: Rodman
C: Taking Nominations…Maybe Robert Swift?
What are the odds on that the entire starting five snapping and getting ejected in a single call? Even money? 2-1?
a lil hometowmn flavor for this team...
but i’m not sure AI belongs. he’d just sit on the bench pouting and/or leave the team.
Tonight's My First Night
listening to a non-Hot-Rod game. I expect that I’ll be cursing my radio and pining for the old days.

Nice.
I just gave up after that. No emotion, nothing.
I was laughing after the Dallas game though.

When will
When will Boozer understand that yelling at the player he’s guarding won’t make them miss the shot? How many “block in the back” calls do you think he’s going to have?
by KaBar6 on Nov 9, 2009 5:48 PM MST via mobile reply actions
he's been doing it for ten years
and he still has a job…so i’m guessing he won’t understand any time soon
Kibda mentioned it in my preview
but what about the AI to NY rumors?
Will it make them any better?

PTI mentioned
That AI could be a good fit in Cleveland. I think I agree. Him and melo found a way to co-exist. And it would be great for my fantasy team.
I can’t imagine LBJ and AI together. AI freelances too much to work in the Cavs’ system. Oh wait. They don’t have a system. Make it so!
No. Don't!
At least not until AFTER we play them.

Are you kidding? Can you imagine James, Shaq and AI all looking for the ball? You could sag off two players, double-up on LBJ and AI, and use a player like Memo to push Shaq out towards the line, and make him ineffective. There’s no way that team wins 50+ games.
As much as Lebron scores
He has always wanted to be a playmaker as well. AI gives him another finisher who can also draw some of the defenders attention away from James.
Speaking of fantasy
glad I’m not playing Danielle anymore.
I don’t have to sit and hope for 65-60 Jazz wins where the teams shoot like 20% each from the field.

Boozer short on a long jumper
Didn’t see that one coming.
Uh, do you think you could draw me like a ninja?
why does the stupid stream insist on buffering
only during jazz possessions and flow freely when the knicks have the ball?!
They assume
you see the Jazz all the time and don’t to watch them now.
Plus… New York > Utah, in the NBA’s eyes. Simple NBA economics…

How are the Knicks getting inside so easily? The Jazz are lucky they’re missing so many easy buckets.
memo has more boards than the rest of the team combined
maybe his own personal cheering section is doing him good
Toney Douglas...
was kinda hoping the Jazz would go after him in the draft…

Heading Home
Hope I can drive through the tears while I listen to shudder Locke call this thing on the radio.
The zone D seems to be affecting the Knicks offensive rebounding
Nobody’s really crashing the offensive boards cuz they have to get back and set the zone. So even if it’s giving us problems, it’s apparently hurting them offensively a little as well.
Forgive me for ignorance (my wife and I just moved to Utah two years ago), but when was the last time SG was a strength for Utah?
they had some good players before him....
Griffith was a stud in his day….
Even Jeff Malone wasn’t too shabby
and there was that Pistol fella :)
Yeah, it is kinda bad
But considering this is a zone defense we’re playing against, it’s not terrible.
I think he writes his boozer comments before the game
and just goes down the list as the game progresses
crap
stupid kfan/locke spent the entire first half harping on about how duhon has missed 12 straight and how the knicks have hit no 3s
and look what happens
is anyone else starting to hate dwill's 3s?
it seems like they’re never good shots or he never takes them at good times lately
he's cold tonight....
not to sound too much like Jerry… but I’d rather see more layups and less threes! :)
I always was happy when he would take a 3
But your right, with the composition of this team, he always seems to take them at a bad time. Out of necessity I think.
Woah, Jerry called a timeout!
Good timing.

research:
last time ak hit 3 3’s was 2/8/08
and last time he hit 4 was 2/17/04 (he actually hit 5 that night)
Although it's great that he is hitting them so far
If we are relying on AK to hit 3’s to win this game then we can write it off now….
i haven't felt this excited all season
and it doesnt have anything to do with the game….i just love ak and it does my heart good when he’s on
we were up in the first because the knicks were bad, not because we were good
and now the knicks are stepping it up
did you see
how badly Boozer was clogging up the floor on that possession? The spacing was awful. D-Will would have penetrated but Boozer was in the way.
Uh, do you think you could draw me like a ninja?
sorry all, my bad
Logged in at the 9 minute mark with an 11 point lead. Only to see it vanish in 2 minutes. I will now promptlu log out and let the Jazz win.

Boler needs to stop asking "Can you believe this?" when we blow a lead in the second half
Of course we can believe it, it happens ALL THE TIME.
The frustraiting thing is they never learn
We keep making the same mistakes. Never learn. Ever. Won’t change. Can’t learn. We suck…
I've got it
it’s like we’re Bill Murray in “Groundhog Day,” but we never learned to stop trying to kill ourselves and do nice things for each other. Losing to the Knicks would just be Andie Macdowell slapping us in the face.
Uh, do you think you could draw me like a ninja?
i say we give the jazz nickname back to NO
and rename ourselves the hemophiliacs…because we can’t stop the bleeding

Decision time
Got pick up ticket for midnight release of Modern Warfare two, or have my heart ripped out again and spend 30 minutes screaming at the TV?
williams
looks defeated walking back to the bench.
why o why can’t the front office make a change???
no one with heart or pride
would let every rookie in the league light them up like this.
we’re lucky griffin got injured.
What's the record
for consecutive games in which a team had a 15 point lead and lost it sometime during the game?
Someone watching live
Please tell me how much time was on the shot clock when Brewer threw up his jumper

we almost lost ping pong balls to the people we stole em from

Heard on radio today
Front office insists Boozer isn’t the problem. “No locker room problems,” they say.
REALLY? REALLY??? The Jazz FO is more delusional than all of us thinking some day we are going to win a championship (I still believe we’re going to win it!)
Boozer isn't the problem
He’s been one of their best players the last few games….
In fact, you can generally tell when he’s had a better game because of the lack of anti Boozer rants the whole way through the thread
his making plays on the court
doesn’t mean all the suckage isn’t the result of his presence in the locker room though….
which i believe is the case.
I don't care for +/- stats per game, but over a season, you can see some trends. Boozer is 3rd to last with a -22.
We all know about his defensive deficiencies, but have you noticed his offense? His numbers are anything but efficient. Deron Williams has become a shot-seeker this year, but Boozer is second on the team in shots, but dead last in shooting percentage of people who have shot more than 50 shots. And he doesn’t draw fouls. He is incredible inefficient offensively. In fact, this game is really his first good game offensively.
Deron is struggling too offensively, but he is trying to do too much. It has been a problem for him for a couple seasons. Boozer just has really bad shot selection, especially against any team with any interior defense.
The more you try to erase me, the more that I appear.
+/- stats don't work
According to +/- Kevin Durant is about the worst player playing for Oklahoma, but try and tell me that you wouldn’t trade him for any guy not named Deron Williams.
Take away the first few games of the season and Boozer has not done badly offensively. He’s shot nearly 60% for the last 4 games and shoots 53% for his career, so I don’t agree that shot selection is a big problem. After this game, both Williams and Okur have dropped below Boozer in FG%.
He’s not great defensively, but we’ve known that for the last 5 years…
Because it’s Boozer everyone is on the bandwagon saying that he is playing terribly and commenting every time he makes a mistake. If Millsap was playing like this everyone would be beside themselves…
I agree that it is probably best that Boozer is traded, but I think it’s pretty sad that he is bagged at every opportunity even when he plays well.
so.
The Jazz win a close game, and the broadcasters are more thrilled than the fans. The 2009 Utah Jazz: Where ennui happens.
Uh, do you think you could draw me like a ninja?
Well this team isn’t designed to play defense..as Bill Murray says in Space Jam – “I don’t play defense!”
second Bill Murray reference tonight!
see, there’s a bright side to everything!
Uh, do you think you could draw me like a ninja?
There are really two ways to look at this game
1. It was just like all the other second half meltdowns, we just got lucky and squeaked it out. The defense collapsed in the second half, the offense sputtered at key moments, we had WAY too many turnover, and we got absolutely abused by a rookie…AGAIN.
And all those things are true. But, if you wanna look at the bright side, the other option is:
2. We won a game on the road, in a place where we hadn’t won in half a decade, in a game in which we faced a zone defense for 42 minutes and in which our star had 5 points and 7 turnovers on 2-10 shooting.
At this point in the season, until Boozer gets traded and/or until we get CJ and Kyle back, we’ve just gotta find little ways to win, and even though this W was infuriating, it’s at least a little bit encouraging that they found a way to get it done. It wasn’t pretty, and it shouldn’t have even been a game, but I’ll go to sleep satisfied tonight anyway.
