Deron Williams Named Western Conference Player of the Week
Deron Williams was named the Western Conference player of the week after leading the Jazz through "hell (yeah) week" against the Spurs, Lakers (twice), and the Magic. The Jazz came out of that stretch 3-1 when 0-4 wasn't out of the question give some of their recent performances.
Deron had almost 22 & 11 during those games to go along with more than 4 rebounds. He's at 19.3 & 11.5 for December.
Of course Carlos Boozer won the award last week when he had a crazy 27 & 17 (rounded) for the week. That's some sweet action. Sorry for no post on that.
The KOOF will try to extend the Utah's streak to three this week.

I know I'm rehashing old ground but...
How he’s not an All-Star is still beyond me.
Possibly the southernmost Jazz fan in the world!
Yeah, it looks like the fans are failing him again this year.
Hopefully the coaches will do the right thing and vote him in. With any luck Deron gets into the all-star game this year and then lands bigger/international endorsement deals moving forward. Deron’s fan voting numbers would then increase and we won’t have to worry about Deron getting snubbed again.

Yes!
With the people’s republic backing the Jazz we could probably get Fess in the starting five for the West! ‘The Ukraine’ and China are cool with one another right?

BBJ is right.
You see, the Chinese really like Yao Ming. And because of this, they really like the Rockets. So they’re punching their ballots in force for anyone who wears a Rocket jersey.
To wit: Trevor Ariza is sixth in the voting at forward, despite having the second worst FG% in the NBA. Luis Scola is eighth in the voting. And Aaron Brooks is ahead of Brandon Roy, Deron Williams and Chauncey Billups at guard.
Alexandria VA..
Wow, I didn’t realize that until you said it. For someone who dunks so much, 38% is absolute rubbish. He’s not the worst but probably the worst out of those in the ballot. Come on people, vote vote vote! I think Deron deserves All-Star (C-Booze deserves it too)
Hate to say it but...
Downside of playing for a ‘niche market’ team (I despise the ‘small market’ tag)
Possibly the southernmost Jazz fan in the world!
i used to think that too
but stockton was voted starter time and again back in the day.
is the new voting system i.e. being able to vote online a factor? i’d say yes given the yao vote and yao-related vote, but then if voting was only allowed in the u.s., do you guys think dwill would be an all-star?
Congrats to the Dr.

Read my fan post, not that I wrote it, but it’s oh soooooo neat anyway!
SLC Dunk #1 Jazz Site in the world!
Tracy McGrady may keep Deron out of the game, is the main problem.
If Kobe and T-Mac are voted as starters, then the coaches may only be able to vote in one of Chris Paul and Deron and we all know who will get that nod. But we will see I guess. But it is obvious that McGrady doesn’t belong in the game, let alone as a starter. And Houston fans would even agree with this.
The more you try to erase me, the more that I appear.
