While you were sleeping... 1 March 2009
Big night in the Association last night for the Jazz, let's get to it...
RAPTORS 98 @ MAVS 109
Would have been a pleasant surprise had the Raptors made a game of this. I wasn't expecting much with this one. Nevertheless, disappointing.
ROCKETS 105 @ TIMBERWOLVES 94
The Rockets recovered from their Bulls debacle to take it to the TWolves. Can't wait for Wednesday.
SPURS 84 @ TRAIL BLAZERS 102
Almost went with the mixed reaction. I mean, a Spurs loss is never bad. But I want to pass Portland more right now. SA had Duncan return and couldn't do jack against the Blazers. Just something else to add to the hate for the Spurs.
HOR-NETS 99 @ NETS 96
Big road win for the Hornets. They couldn't even contain David West let alone try to stop him. Paul had 9 assists to follow up on his 20 assist game.
LAKERS 111 @ SUNS 118
I'm going with the cup's half full on this one. I can't say that seeing the Lakers get pounded by Shaq isn't a good thing. And since the Suns are still a couple of games back, it let's you enjoy this one without feeling guilty.
We're just going to end this with Boozer's mug. Doesn't get any better than this. Huge games coming up against Houston & Denver.
And here are you updated standings

Here's my feeling toward Phoenix.
They have an equally difficult schedule as we do and they already have two more losses than we do. So if they catch us, we probably won’t be playing good ball anyway into the playoffs. Basically, we just need to look at the teams forward and not the teams behind at this point. So if the Suns ever play one of the teams ahead of us in the standings, which they will, we should root for the Suns to win. Unless we somehow find ourselves behind the Suns.
The more you try to erase me, the more that I appear.
I need more happy Boozer!
At least we finally got a road win. Those are tough to come by.

If we go 4-1 on the East Swing
we’re a lock, no matter what. That stretch coupled with the two denver games are the highlights for the rest of the season. This could go really great or really wrong.
4-1??
I mean it’s possible, but pretty unlikely given there are a couple of back to backs, and the fact that they are on the road. I know the Jazz are on a roll, but 6 of the last 8 games have been at home, and they didn’t exactly set the world on fire in the two away games they played.
Coming away from the trip 3-2 will be a good effort, but really with the team that they have they should be doing more on the road and coming home with 4 wins… I just doubt it will happen :)
How in the world
did everybody ahead of us win on the same night…and it’s been that way for a week or so. We keep winning, but so does everybody else. Something’s gotta give. I guess Wednesday, something will give.
Buckle up!
We were behind a few games
We’ve gained a lot of ground. It’ll just take a bit more to jump other teams.
