Carlos Boozer filing for divorce
Jazz's Boozer files for divorce in Miami
The Associated Press
MIAMI -- Utah Jazz forward Carlos Boozer has filed for divorce in Miami from his wife of more than six years.
Court documents filed Thursday call the marriage between Boozer and his wife, Cindy, "irretrievably broken." Boozer says the couple's home in Miami is for sale. The Jazz star also wants rights to a second home they own in Salt Lake City.
The couple has twin 19-month-olds and a 2-year-old child. Boozer seeks shared child custody and is willing to pay child support.
Florida is a no-fault divorce state, meaning a divorce does not require proof of any wrongdoing.
The 6-9, 260-pound forward is in his sixth year in the NBA, averaging more than 16 points and almost 11 rebounds per game. Boozer played college ball at Duke.
Obviously a horrible time for Boozer and his family. More thoughts on this coming...

Too bad
I hate to sound too crass because I’d never wish this on anyone.
Last year during the playoffs, he got caught in his “rumored” affair. (slump)
Now a year later, just in time for the playoffs, full blown divorce.
On court some days, Booz looks absolutely brilliant. Then others…he doesn’t seem worth the trouble. I’m glad I don’t have KOC’s job.
Tragic.
It is never good to see this. As someone from a house that went through a tough divorce, I feel very sad for the Boozer family. Here’s hoping it is the best for everyone years down the line.
Not surprised
I can’t say I am terribly surprised by this recent state of events. I have it on good authority Boozer was cheating on his wife for quite some time. It was only a matter of time before he got caught. Its pretty discouraging when a guy who has 3 young kids, 2 of which are seriously sick, and when his family needs him the most, he pulls this sort of crap. I hope and pray come next season Boozer is not in a Jazz uniform.
Ah. Yes.
Very interesting information. I have often found “good authority” a very good source by which for me to pass judgment on another human being.
…or you could do the decent thing and leave the mudslinging to yourself and let that family deal with their situation on their own terms and in their own matter. jesus.

wasn't there issues about CeCe not wanting to live in SLC?
looks like she got her wish. sucks for all people involved. this probably means that he’s not going to opt out, as he’ll want to be divorced before he signs his new contract. (this has been an issue for other nba players before, like VC)

Ahmen to that!
Life goes both ways, the goose the gander all willlive it as they see fit to.
My wife of 28 yrs desired to live in the big city, she is, I’m not…. End of line!
I Hate to Break it to you.....
but what I should of said is that my “good authority” is actually the truth. I mean is anyone really shocked that Boozer is a snake? Um No. I’m deeply sorry if you love and admire Boozer and I hurt your feelings.
NOw you have me very interested!
What good authority do you have that Carlos was cheating on that hag. Who was he cheating with? Any juicy ifo you know or kinda heard would be greatly appreciated. YOu seem to me in the know about things.
Which is harder?
1. Sitting in a big house all alone?
2. Constant travel?
Every NBA marriage must be stressed.
Buckle up!
