It's almost time
I'm all previewed out. My last preview can be read at the LA Times Lakers blog,
I'm ready to get this going. I will ask this. For those that aren't Jazz fans and might not have a team in the playoffs, how can you not root for the Jazz?
First of all, it's the Lakers. Unless you're a Fakers fan, how can you root for the Empire? Shouldn't you be rooting for the Rebellion?
Second, everyone loves the underdog and it doesn't get much more underdog than this.
To get you going for today's game, look at the above picture while you listen to the following. This was remixed by Ronald Jenkees. If you don't know who he is, do yourself a favor and head over to his site.

Fake doesn't win 65 games.
You can bad mouth them, call them cute names but they showed in the last game of the season and they will show in the next 4 games that one team belogs and one doesn’t. LAKERS IN 4. LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE.
Wahoo.
This is seriously going to be like the longest hour of my life.

CJ active, KK starting
it took j-slow 82 games to realize a change might be needed?

Yeah,
only if for some idiotic reason they let KK go

if they can keep him financially
i think they will given how he’s stepped up on defense and even rebounding the ball lately
Yep
I think starting him & Okur around Booze (provided they’re all back) is probably the best option… 2 guys to make you pay for doubling Booze inside

So,
how bad is Memo’s injury? Do you think he’ll be good to go by Tuesday?

I guess it depends
on what happens with AK (trade or not) and KK (opt-out or not).
(Oh, and if CJ is traded or something, then no.)
I don’t see it happening though… at least not early in the season.
Maybe if he proves himself throughout the season.

After watching what happened yestereday,
I have an optimistic outlook on this game.

Well
the #1 team in the East won running away. So I guess you’re ignoring that…

Totally unrelated
I have another post up.
Someone needs to stop me before my fingers fall up (and because I have finals to be studying for)…

Is the symbolism in that picture purposeful?
With Boozer in a different jersey and headed in a different direction from the rest of the team? If so, well played. If not, still unintentionally well played.
Maybe sub-consciously?
Really, it was the only one that I could find of him in a big picture that I could use. But now that I look at it again, he is going against everyone, and the white jersey stands out like a sore thumb. Maybe it’s like the Beatles album?

He's also the only one without a ball.
