The Hornets - I don't like Chris Paul. There, I said it. Don't get me wrong - he's unbelievably good, I can see that. And I've always loved pass-first points guards. But in a long-standing tradition of hyper-competitive point guards (think John Stockton or Isiah Thomas) Paul is something of an asshole. He will do anything to win. Some people like that. But the Hornets can't be my team. Having said that, if the Hornets can get healthy, they probably have the best chance against the Lakers. The Lakers have trouble defending great point guards and defending the pick and roll, so the Hornets are their worst nightmare. Of course, as it stands now the Hornets would have to win two different series on the road against good teams just to get to the Finals. If they don't get Peja and Chandler and Posey back at full strength, that's just not happening.

defense is not an issue for the Lakers
The Lakers have trouble defending great point guards and defending the pick and roll,

Deron said in the paper that we can’t just outscore teams, we have to play defense. I think that’s true of everybody but the Lakers. They can score at will. If it were true that they struggled against the pick and roll, then they would struggle against the Jazz, and sadly, they don’t.

Buckle up!
