It sounds like Greg will try to dump Boozer if at all possible:

We’d love to have Carlos here. Carlos is a very talented player. I think he would be one who would be considered a marquee player. But I do have concerns about Carlos’ defense, and I have some concerns about his ability to lead the team. I would just like to see Carlos step up and play more of a leadership role.

If we do somehow end up with Boozer for next year I can’t imagine him playing well with comments like that coming from the owner – I just don’t see him as the type of player that would feed on criticism like that…

Larry did the same thing all the time

He blasted Boozer on the radio after Boozer made his “I’m getting a raise regardless” comments. Looks like Greg is just keeping it real in the family.

Uh, do you think you could draw me like a ninja?

My worry with this comment

It could have one of two effects. It could discourage teams from making offers to Millsap, knowing that the Jazz will definitely want to match. On the other hand, if other teams feel certain enough that the Jazz will match, they may deliberately over-offer to Millsap, in an attempt to drive up his price, forcing the Jazz to match at an amount far greater than they would have preferred to pay.

I’m afraid some team will say, “Hey, let’s offer Millsap 4 years, $40 million, just to screw the Jazz when they match.” Now that our intentions are known, our bargaining position is severely weakened.

Uh, do you think you could draw me like a ninja?

Like father like son

Yeah, it is awesome for us to know that. But I wouldn’t want the other teams to know that.

I have to say, I have a feeling that Jr. will do everything he possibly can to win a championship in Larry’s honor. Funny to have an auto mogul announce that he’ll pay the luxury tax on the same day as news of Chrysler dealerships closing.

So let’s pay the tax to get Bosh.

I'll make it coach.

Fake bidding doesn't happen in the NBA; It can't.

If a team makes an offer to Millsap, it will only be because they are willing to pay Millsap that kind of money. What if the Jazz are bluffing? Then you have Millsap for 4 years at $40 million. It wouldn’t happen.

The more you try to erase me, the more that I appear.
