This is what Chad Ford had to say about Boozer:

10. Carlos Boozer, F/C, Jazz
Boozer is in the same camp as Camby. He's a very productive big man in the last year of his deal. However, Boozer is infinitely harder to move than Camby. Why? Because the Jazz want something significant in return and because Boozer will want a huge contract as a free agent this summer.

A team trading for him is making a huge commitment. Not only are they giving away a prized asset (probably some combination of a young player or draft pick plus cap relief), but they are also committing to being held over the coals by Boozer and his agent, Rob Pelinka, this summer. That's why it's harder than you might think to move Boozer.

Would you...

trade CJ + Boozer for Amare knowing Amare will surely be leaving in the summer.

No.

The more you try to erase me, the more that I appear.

Nope

You could argue that Boozer is actually better than Amar’e all by himself, so giving up both him and CJ and not getting an assurance that Amar’e would stick around wouldn’t be worth it to me. Boozer is less athletic and not as good of a jump-shooter as Amar’e, but Boozer is more versatile offensively, a better rebounder, a better passer, and possibly even a better defender (scary to think that someone is worse than Boozer, I know, but Amar’e’s defense is atrocious sometimes). Plus, Amar’e comes with a lot of the same problems that we have complained about with Boozer in the past (namely, the rumors that he’s a negative influence in the locker room and the frequent injuries). All in all, not worth it.

But will the change in scene benfit both?

I remember once Amare had like 10 blocks or something against the Jazz. (That might have been his contract year).

It is true that Boozer’s D has been better.

The only thing am scared about Amare trade is if he does the Alonzo Mourning’s “I am injured until you get me out of New Jersey”.
