AK, "Ahhh, not again."

From the tweets of tribjazz & lockeonsports,

Siler,

Carlos Boozer has a moderate calf strain and will be reevaluated Monday. The Jazz said the crutches were precautionary.

From Locke,

The #utahjazz are calling the Carlos Boozer injury a moderate strain. Boozer will go through treatment again this afternoon

Locke goes on to say that Boozer thinks he'll be out about 10 days.  That would put him out until the All-star break.  I think we'll get his slack picked up by Millsap and AK but that's a stretch of games over some good teams that we'll be without him.  We face Portland, Dallas, Denver, and LA.  They're all at home, so that's a plus.

Let's hope this doesn't stretch out longer.

The team is coming together and playin well…… so you get hurt. Why couldn’t you have gotten hurt over the allstar break? HMMMMM

Weird

This is such a weird injury. Watching the replay, I can’t really figure it out. I never would have thought it would be something that could keep him out for over a week… I guess the KOOF will be coming right back up.

Any status update on Fess’ ankle?

I love the way boozer has played this year but its a good thing its a contract year or I don’t think we would see him back on the court as soon. Also this stretch without him could tell us alot about how his teammates feel about him. If they all bust their butts really hard they may be trying to send a message to KOC that they don’t think they need him and want him traded. Or they might just be playing extra hard……..who knows.

This sounds familiar

I swear “about 10 days” was the original timetable for his injury last season, too. He was injured on November 19 against Milwaukee, and talked about the November 26 home game against Memphis as his targeted return date. 3 months later we finally saw him in a Jazz jersey again.

I really hope this time is different. His injury this time didn’t look serious at all, whereas last year’s, you could tell he tweaked something. As some have said, maybe the fact that this is a contract year will give him an incentive to return quickly. The timing of the All-Star break probably helps too, because it gives him a few extra days to rest and recover. I’m keeping my fingers crossed, but with Boozer’s track record, who knows what will happen.
