I just looked at the remaining schedules of the Jazz and the Nuggets.
The Jazz have an easier remaining schedule in March. I'll say by april 2nd that the Jazz will be up by 1 or 2 games on the nuggets. In April there was either 6 or 7 games and they get tougher. It will definitley be interesting on who comes out on top. I'll say 56 wins is the magic number. 56-26 should get first place in that division. I just hope the Mavericks only win 55 games so we get the second seed out west.

That's a little bit much
To get 56 wins, you’re talking about going 18-5 over our remaining schedule. That would be nice, but let’s not get too ahead of ourselves. 15-8 or 16-7 would be a legitimately great record for our remaining road-heavy schedule. If the Jazz maintain their heat, then sure 18-5 is possible, but I believe 16-7 could win the division and get a 2 seed, depending on if the Mavs keep up their current pace.
Just so you know.
If the Jazz win the NW division and tie with the Mavericks, then we would get the higher seed. We hold the tiebreaker over Dallas. However, if the Jazz take second in the division and the Mavericks win their division and they tie us, then they are the higher seed, due to their winning their division. Confusing.
The more you try to erase me, the more that I appear.
Point being that the Jazz should just win the division to be safe.

I thought you were just guaranteed a top four seed?
The division winners don’t get seeds 1, 2, and 3 automatically right? Didn’t this happen to us a few years ago, where we were actually 5th in the conference, but because we won our division we were only given the 4 seed and Houston was relegated to the 5th. Granted they still go home court advantage…
Yes
jbuxxy you are right, but what clark was saying is that if the Jazz are second in the division and tied with the Mavs, then the Mavs would be the 3 seed and the Jazz would be the 4 seed, even though the Jazz own the tiebreaker over the Mavs. The reason is because the Mavs are a division winner and the Jazz wouldn’t be. But if the Jazz win the northwest and are tied with the Mavs, then the tiebreaker kicks in and we take the 2nd seed and they take the 3rd. That would be ideal, of course! Because then the nuggets would face the lakers in the second round.
Mavs
I hope Mavs are in the 4th seed.
I think Mavs have a better chance of beating Lakers.
