We now know the Jazz will be picking 9th. But if they have a chance to move up, do you think they should take it?
Jazz get Nets 3rd pick.
Nets get Jazz 9th pick and Carlos Boozer (sign and trade).
Why Nets and not the other teams?
Wizards - not trading John Wall. Period.
Sixers - already have PF with huge contract in Elton Brand.
Kings - Possible, but desired big man might be gone by then.
Why would the Nets do it?
They already have Devin Harris and Brook Lopez. Boozer is proven scorer. Devin Harris can be a pick and roll partner for Boozer, and Brook Lopez can help Boozer out on the defensive end, and they would make a formidable front court.
Why would the Jazz do it?
They get something for Boozer who's not coming back anyway, at least I hope so.Now, is Derrick Favors or DeMarcus Cousins worth the 3rd pick? Or do guys like Greg Monroe, Ed Davis and Ekpe Udoh will provide the Jazz the same at 9?
I say, DO IT!, the Jazz will basically be trading the 9th pick for the 3rd pick, take the chance!
This of course can probably happen if the Nets don't get one of the big name free agents like Bosh or Amare.
But, if the Bucks accept a sign and trade Boozer for Bogut, scratch this idea. :)
