Fes "Highlights" vs. Bosnia
Includes a bunch of stupid subtitles (couldn't help myself). The game is from about a week ago. I'll leave it to the better basketball minds around here to analyze the actual game/Fes' moves.

Awful
The best part of this video is the subtitles, they made me laugh, Fes made me cry. I think the Jazz shouldn’t worry about signing him after watching this mess. Lmao at 6:35
I couldn't do it
Amazing that Jazz dude made it to 6:35. Was that even basketball that is being shown? I watch for a few minutes and couldn’t take it anymore.
This video made my day
I love that, of all the things he could have learned/picked up from his Jazz teammates, the one he’s mastered grabbing the ball after the first free throw attempt.
Carlos Boozer of the Ukraine, indeed.
I got the crap beat out of me in Provo one time
I honestly don't understand Jazz fans' feelings towards Fesenko. I am a bit of an apologist, but still...
Fact: Kyrylo Fesenko has played and will most likely play this season for essentially the NBA minimum.
Fact: There is not a better backup center in the league that you can get for under $2 million. Not even Shaq. Shaq is one of the worst defenders in the league. He kills locker rooms.
Fact: The Knicks just signed a guy named Mozgov, a very similar talent to Fesenko, for 3 years, $9 million.
Fact: Kyrylo Fesenko helped the Jazz win their first round series against Denver last year. Without him, we lose to the Nuggets. Period. That fact alone paid Fesenko’s contract.
Fact: Kyrylo Fesenko has incredible athleticism and agility for a man his size.
Fact: Fesenko has not been as good as most Jazz fans expected. This puts him in a group with about 87 other Jazzmen.
Fact: It would be much smarter and help the Jazz much more to sign Fesenko to $1-2 million than put a guy like Othyus Jeffers or even Ryan Thompson on the roster.
I thought there were flashes of really good play in this “highlight.”
Thanks, Amar.

Agreed on all points.
Though I really want to see what Boom Tho could do as a back up center.

Stockton to Malone- The perfect combination!!

MonSTARZ forever!
Looks like Ostertag
This video brings back nightmares of Ostertag. Remember Tag running down the court and his false teeth falling out and skittering across the floor during a game? And Tag falling down the stairs at his home and missing a bunch of games (he was playing for the Kings then, not the Jazz). Tag was a horrid player, just like Fesenko. Also, why the hell is he playing for the Ukranian team when the Jazz have asked him to play for the Jazz in the NBA summer league last couple of years? Just like Tag, he makes stupid decisions that don’t allow him to improve as a player. Having said all that, I guess he’s the best backup center option the Jazz have and they need to get him re-signed. Hopefully for $100,000 a year (that’s all he’s worth).
Tag wasn't that bad.
In fact his 1v1 defense against some of the leagues best Centers is what allowed the Jazz to win many games. We didn’t have to double team Hakee, Shaq, Udonis, etc etc as much because of Tag. Tag really doens’t get the credit he desereves. Sure he never lived up to his potential but he still was a huge asset.

Tag had All-Star talent
Nobody will ever convince me otherwise.

completely agree
it’s just too bad he would only show it a handful of times per year. All-Star talent with zero work ethic.
my thoughts, fwtw
i thought that in general fes was decent staying on his man on d, set decent picks, had decent footwork, and was willing to pass the ball.
in conclusion, he’s ok enough that “you can’t teach height” and “he takes up space” are good enough reasons to keep him around..
Actually, I forgot to mention what a gifted passer he really is for his size. And I think the one thing he really needs to learn is setting good picks.
He sets “fake” screens all the time.

Thanks!
I enjoyed the comments better than the game…

Fesenko? ... Fesenko?
/in my best Melo voice with sarcastic smirk.
Can the season just get here so we have more to watch than Fes and the Ukranian National Team.
And for what it’s worth, I am grateful for the post, Moni.
Finally, Clark if you are retarded, then I’m a retarded amoeba when it comes to bball knowledge. Don’t sell yourself short Dukie.
