The Downbeat - 20 September 2010 - #319 - The Cosmo Karl Edition

Ronnie Price from the Dodge Barrage,

On the team's chemistry heading into training camp:

I mean, look at all the guys that are here. That just kind of shows you a lot about the way the organization gets guys; it says a lot about our team. We've been playing pick-up games in the morning - we played this morning before dodgeball even started. Great turnout. And, man, we're just really excited to get this season on the way and start seeing how good we really are.

The only ones that weren't there were CJ and AK.  Jeffers was there, even though he has no guarantee to be on the team in a couple of months.  There were also a couple of guys there that I didn't even know, though I got their autographs anyway.

Price also said that the Jazz are a "much better ball club with [Al]."

Hope springs eternal.

Brian T. Smith is reporting that Fesenko met with Houston last week and came away impressed.  He's also had interest from Cleveland, New Orleans and Golden State.  Just how exactly would he fit in with the Warriors?

T-minus 7 days until training camp.  If Fess isn't signed by training camp, he may want to take what he can get elsewhere and hope the Jazz don't match.  I wouldn't want to face Sloan after that.  Hopefully something gets done this week.

Karl Malone, astronaut/superhero (from someone's personal blog),

I promise a post on the Dodge Barrage is coming, as soon as I'm able to type more than 20 words without my muscles cramping up.  But here's our jersey from the event.  Many thanks to Monty for getting these made.  They were great.

Price, Korver, and Big Al's sigs on the front, with Deron's on the back (coming for the DB post)
