By now you've seen the tweets, reports and ideas (even earlier in previous comments sections of posts here) that Earl Watson is coming over. [EDIT: links or it didn't happen!] That's good, he's a solid player and I just hope he's happy with 11.5 mpg after playing 27.9 mpg, 29.1 mpg, 26.1 mpg and 29.4 mpg over the last four seasons. I don't know much about him personally aside from watching him play, but I do know that he's made Matt Harpring money over the last few seasons. Last season was a huge dip down to $2.8 million. I wouldn't pay more than $2.5 for a guy projected to play so few minutes per game.
Also, he's played for almost every NW division team. So, well, shouldn't we be getting a NW Division discount? He's better than Sundiata Gaines on Ronnie Price's shoulders. Not an explosive player, but career numbers of 7.4 ppg and 4.7 apg (regular season numbers for 676 games) aren't too shabby. Another 30 year old into the fold as the Jazz attempt to reload this off season. Anyway, stats to follow the signing . . . I'm being an Earl-y bird here too by posting this without any conf from JC at @Utah_Jazz just of yet.
