Was the last round a referendum on the starting SG position? It seems so based on some of the comments. If that's the case, a slim majority want Raja Bell to start at the SG and have Miles come off the bench. Bell survives to the next round after CJ got 137 votes to his 119. #whatupdoe?
I forgot to post what my vote would have been yesterday but I would have voted for CJ as well because I envision Bell being the stopper for the starting two-guards in the league. CJ has the upside being younger for years going forward, but for next season, it's advantage Bell. That's not a knock on Miles because I see Doe's role as being a backup to Bell and possibly AK. I still think that CJ could get the start over AK with Andrei providing that 6th-man spark and help run the second unit. With the signing of Earl Watson though, maybe that's less of a need.
So now we get down to the nitty-gritty. The Fab Five. The starting five. Though Bell had the second-most votes, will the ones that wanted CJ off shift their votes to someone else?
Voting ends at 9 a.m. Monday
06. C.J. Miles
07. Mehmet Okur
08. Gordon Hayward
09. Ronnie Price
10. Kyrylo Fesenko
11. Jeremy Evans
12. Sundiata Gaines
13. Francisco Elson
14. Othyus Jeffers
My vote this time around is for Bell. No shocker there. The play of Millsap, Jefferson, and AK are all more important than how Bell does. Make not mistake, he's going to be a huge cog for this season, but our front-court play is what's going to decide things.
