UPDATE: It's officially official,

Utah Jazz general manager Kevin O'Connor announced today that the team has signed free-agent center Francisco Elson. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.

Too bad we already cut him.

From the new tribjazz,

So the speculation was true. His agent went on to say via tribjazz that he has the body of a 28-year old despite being 34.

The biggest question is what impact will this have on Fesenko and Evans? I think this is more of an insurance policy with Memo being out early. I think Fess and Evans still get signed. Evans will be a bit more versatile and can play another position, if he gets any PT at all.

I'm not moved either way with this signing. We have a 7 footer that may or may not be able to score and may or may not be able to block shots. If we're really depending on this signing to compete, then we're in trouble.

Terms won't be disclosed officially, but I can't imagine it being for more than the league minimum and 2 years.

With that said, welcome to the Jazz if the physical works out.
