Deron Williams To Miss First Game Of The Year With Tendinitis In Wrist

Stay connected for news and updates

The good news is that Deron Williams' MRI revealed no structural damage. The bad news is that his wrist will keep him out of tonight's game against the Timberwolves. Right now, he can't even grip the ball.

So that means Earl Watson will get the start and stated to the press that he will be pushing the ball a lot. So how does the Watson/Bell/AK/Millsap/Jefferson unit play? Well, it hasn't been good. They've only played 12 minutes together and only one stint was longer that 2 minutes. It could be different tonight given that they'll be getting a lot of minutes tonight and the fact that they'll be going up against the Timberwolves. Although, we haven't really been playing teams in the bottom of the league well either.

So without DWill's scoring, look for Millsap, Big Al, and CJ to pick up the slack. We'll get a heavy dose of Jefferson in the post I imagine.
