Good enough for me
Let’s look for a trade.
Felton and Galinari would be fine with me.
Andrei Kirilenko is Russia's most important export
Not ready for this
I thought I would at least be able to finish out the season in misery before I had to endure this kind of talk. It will be interesting to see Berg’s story.

actually, it's kind of meh.

Walsh’s patient strategy applied not only to keeping and adding necessary role players to complement the two superstars, but also to adding a third star who could push the Knicks into the Eastern Conference elite with an aging Boston team, Miami, and Chicago. A person with knowledge of the conversations told CBSSports.com on Saturday that Jazz point guard Deron Williams began informing close associates after last season that if Stoudemire wound up in New York, Williams would follow him there as a free agent in 2012. If the Knicks got Anthony with the three-year extension under current rules, it is not clear whether they’d have enough cap space to add a player such as Williams, Chris Paul or Dwight Howard when the trio become unrestricted free agents after next season.
That’s…actually not all that convincing.
Uh, do you think you could draw me like a ninja?

Yeah
But it’s still going to get talked about now forever.

Meh.
Can’t wait to see the 20 panic fanposts in response to this.

Stockton to Malone- The perfect combination!!
"I think he just said, 'Oh my Gosh,' or whatever they say in Provo."- ESPN talking about QB. Max Hall after BYU defeated third ranked Oklahoma (2009).
MonSTARZ forever!
If Deron doesn't say it in an interview I don't believe it
For The Love!!
Rise and shout the Cougars are out!!
I don't think Carmelo said it in an interview last year, either
I’m not saying it’s definitely true, but I don’t think willingness to state it openly in an interview should be the sole criterion for believability. Of course, a story that is based on hearsay within hearsay within hearsay isn’t high on the believability scale either. I agree with you there.
"I want to live up to her expectations. I want our democracy to be as good as Christina imagined it."
The difference is Deron doesn't have an entourage and media whore wife who'd be yakking about it

If that's true
and he doesn’t have an ignorant entourage putting out feelers, then we’d have to assume that the rumors are either complete and total, 100% lies, or that he or his agent is sending out signals, right?
I am in no way affiliated with the blog of the same name.
Also,
if they are reporting that D-will said this at the end of last season. Why is it just now coming out? And why did hte wait till after the Sloan debacle? The media is retarded, they are just trying to create a story and cause a huge mess.

And people wondered why I ripped the media in my Sloan post
It’s this crap. Unbelievable.

Ridiculous
The whole free agent, player trading, draft situation is completely out-of-hand. Somehow, professional sports has become as much about who is going where as it is about the actual sport. Can’t we just go back to playing the game and then dealing with contracts once they actually end?
Furthermore, why have the requirements of credibility been removed from sports journalism. Look at this sentence: “A person with knowledge of the conversations told CBSSports.com on Saturday that Jazz point guard Deron Williams began informing close associates after last season…” That’s practically a line from Spaceballs.
This is, sadly, what sports journalism reminds me about
My best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who’s going with a girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it’s pretty serious.
Spending more time speculating on who is going to leave in two years, spending more time trying to cause angst in fans and stir up sh!t—spending more time doing this than covering the current games and current season is why I am going to ESPN and other sites less and less. I’m all about things like the Basketball Playbook now.
And a final rant. I’m going to the Book of Mormon about this. In Alma chapter 11, it attacks the “lawyers” in the time of the Book of Mormon. It portrays them as one of the most corrupt professions of the time, and it has pretty harsh condemnations for them. (The legal system worked differently, and their “lawyers” did different sorts of things that what the profession does today). But here’s the line I love:
Now, it was for the sole purpose to get gain, because they received wages according to their employ, therefore, they did stur up the people to riotings, and all manner of disturbances and wickedness, that they might have more employ, that they might get money according to the suits which were brought before them
That rant reminds me so much of modern media. It reminds me of the talking heads at CNN and Fox Sports. It reminds me of Conservative Talk Radio. And it reminds me of modern sports journalism. It’s not about reporting—it’s about getting readers/listeners riled up, to get them to argue and yell at each other, creating “all manner of disturbances” all to get more attention, higher ratings, and more clicks—because that gets them more money.

I read that chapter last night!
I agree with your post, they do just want to get readers all riled up.

I don’t know how to format these things properly so you can see they came directly off of Twitter but here are 2 tweets from D-Will’s best friend/business manager. He is in LA with D-Will right now

Too many national pundits fighting to produce a story
and it doesn’t matter how much truth or validity the story has. I quit paying attention to ESPN and other national outlets long ago.
Since Sloan’s resignation, Deron has had to deal with droves of media questions, both locally and at the AS game. Based on his stated feelings about that (hello Ric Bucher) and the fact that he hid from the media during the session following the AS practice, I can’t even imagine him wanting to deal with the NY media on a daily basis.
By all accounts, including his own admission, Deron HATES dealing with all the media
Imagine what he will have to deal with in a big market like Dallas or NY. Talk about a surly, grumpy, standoff-ish point guard.
more meh
Reckless and irresponsible reporting. Looks like the guy would love to report on Dwill more and there hasn’t been any news about this for 9 months. [shakes head]
The comical thing
Is this supposedly happened last season. I’m ignoring the stupidity of reporting on a conversation that supposedly happened a year ago. But one year ago, who it the world expected New York would get Amare Stoudemire and nobody else during the mythical FA summer of 2010.
Honestly, the absurdity of the alleged conversation is what kills me. I could imagine “If LeBron goes to New York” or if “Wade goes to the Knicks”, or even “if Bosh goes to New York” but “if Amare goes to the Knicks, then I’m there in 2012” is just so ridiculous.

the only reason this sucks
is that some jazz fans will actually believe this and turn on williams. adding to the group of retards that blame him for sloan. having a good chunk of your fan base hate your best player isnt good for anybody involved.
