Effort...Desire...Energy

Three things you can't win a game without.  Three things that the Jazz lacked against the Knicks.  However.  That loss may not be such a big blow.  If that loss along with Big Al's comments sparks something, good things could happen.

First, about the loss.  Where were we?  It was like my kids trying to clean the house.  Nothing gets done, and i go behind them and pick up everything because they can't do it right.  Just like me wit my kids, Big Al handled what he could.  He had a little help from Favors and Hayward.  Big Al had a great night with 36 pts, Favors was big off the bench with 16, he was awesome, and Hayward with 11.  Good or even great games for the rookies.  But it takes more.  I know there were other factors like trying to play through injuries, or even having a off night.  I have never been one to like excusses, and I feel that we had 3 maybe 4 players that stepped up and tried to win, or compete.  Those players being Jefferson, Favors, Hayward, Watson.  Now don't take this the wrong way.  These were the players that saw others were struggling, Harris was having an off night, and Milsap is playing with a bad knee, and Ak left with back spasims.  i am taking the 3 of them out of the problems.  The first problem is the inconsistency of Miles.  Yes he had 12 pts, but most of that game he was a black hole.  the way he tried to play was sad if he was consistent he would've had 24 pts.  Our bench production is very sad this year.  The addition of Favors helps, but Hayward needs to have games like this one, and Miles needs to be consistent.  our most consistent players off the bench have been Watson, and Elson, both who we don't rely on to score.  I am looking forwar to what our bench will do in the future with the addition of Favors.  Now lets switch to whats coming up, or I will just ramble and get mad at all the inconsistency that our bench has.

There are 18 games left in the season.  How many of those games can we win?  I think 9.  How many do we need to win to have a shot at the playoffs?  I think 12-14.  What does that mean for the Jazz?  It means we are going to have to beat some good teams, like the Hornets( 2 games), the Lakers (2 games), the Thunder, Portland, Dallas, Denver, and the Spurs.  We have a tough road ahead, and with Effort , Desire, and Energy we could suprise some people.  Yes we might get knocked out in the first round, but we are a playoff franchise.  I would rather lose in the first round then be in 9th or 10th place looking in.  Go JAZZ
