A request for Jazz fans tonight.
Tonight is more than just another game against an Eastern Conference foe. We all know the extra significance that D-Will coming home (yes coming home...Deron is a jazzman for life in my book). So here is my request.
Do not Boo Deron!
Deron gave everything he had to this franchise and put us back on the map post John and Karl. Unlike Carlos Boozer, Deron gave his best effort every night. Deron played through pain and rarely missed games. Deron was clutch and fearless. Deron was the leader that Carlos Boozer claimed to be but never was.
Unlike Derek Fisher, Deron Williams did not pull any punches and he legitimately wanted to be here when he was in a Jazz uniform.
Deron Williams meant more to this team than Carlos Boozer and Derek Fisher combined. Please treat him that way. Outside of John and Karl there is not a single Jazz player who contributed more to the success of this franchise during his time in a uniform.
Deron deserves our praise. Lets give it to him.

Good stuff.
Just wondering, now that the D-Will driving out Sloan rumors have been contradicted, would there still be people that would consider booing Deron?
I don't think any serious fan gave those rumors much credence.
I think some people will boo Deron. I expect it to be close to 75% cheers, 25% boos. Some people will be going to tonight just to boo him. Which is disappointing.
AK, IMO
did more for the Jazz during his tenure here but I get your drift.
Dwill will always be one of my favorites. I wont be booing him tonight. That being said. I cheer for the Jazz and I hope we cream the Nets.

He didn't exactly leave on the best of terms, in my opinion.
Do we know whether he would have stayed loyal to the franchise and signed a new contract? No. But the front office must have believed he was leaving.
And if he’d pulled a Lebron or Carmelo, would it be ok to boo then?
