Utah Jazz New Years Resolutions

Russ Isabella-US PRESSWIRE

Now it's that fun time of the year . . . where we get to take stock of where we are, and what we need to work on . . . and then probably never follow through with it. I know that for me, as a reckless bogger, I need to do a better job of using the social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, G+) and get out there and interact with you Jazz fans. So I'll do that. I also want to get back to writing interesting pieces here; and lastly, I'm going to bring back the Sunday Syncopation (in a new format) in 2013.

I'm also going to probably eat out less and try to lose 5 pounds or whatever.

I think our Jazz team is ripe for resolution making as well. I'd love for Alec Burks to stop trying to take as many jumpers (yes, they go in sometimes -- but his major talent is driving), if he resolved to drive more I'd be happy. Similarly, I'd love for Al Jefferson to show better on the pick and roll and actually try to prevent dribble penetration instead of making a token effort. But that's just me.

It's not like I have the capability to MAKE our starting small forward Marvin Williams resolve to post up more. It would be awesome if he did though. He usually gets a good shot or gets to the line when he does.

What are some of the New Years Resolutions you'd want the Jazz to make this year? Take less 'no-mans-land' jumpers? Resolve to party less on road trips? And what are some of your desired resolutions for us Jazz fans? Complain less after losses? Fight less after wins? No more fan fiction of Mylo and I going on camping trips with Jazz players? (No, we need more of that, damn it.)
