Just saw that the Nets signed Gerald Green and remembered that he was a high flyer who won the dunk contest and that a lot of people thought he had major potential. His second year in the league with Boston, he played in 81 games, averaging 22 mins/game, 10.4 pts, 36.8% from 3. He got traded to Minnesota as part of the Kevin Garnett trade if I recall correctly and it looks like he's mostly fizzled out since then.
Does anyone know enough about Gerald Green's game to tell me whether the 2 players' careers might follow similar trajectories? Did Gerald Green get hurt or anything? I realize they play different positions, but I do think there's a bit of a trap trying to develop guys who can jump out of the gym, hoping that they become well-rounded enough players to fit into a rotation.
TIA.
