Millsap was not necessarily snubbed, you could make arguments for all of those players over Milsap
But again, name recognition plays a much greater factor in this selection than anything else. Millsap’s greatest argument would be his PER and efficiency ratings which he is extremely proficient at but he doesn’t get the big minutes of usage that others get.
Hard to say
As a Jazz fan, I say yes! As mentioned, you can definitely make an argument for those ahead of him. I wished the best players made the team, and not just the most popular. Yes I understand that the best players are often the most popular, but not always.

Way to go Dunkers!
Someone on Twitter said this would be 95% in favor of “snubbed”, but you know your hoops better than that

i thought it was a snub at first but after comparing his numbers with dirk, i think dirk has the edge. millsap is one of my favorite non-blazers, but a guy like dirk can make an all-star team with “good, but not great numbers,” where as millsap can’t.
Now that's just stupid
Dirk is having his worst statistical season since his rookie year. He even admitted he felt he didn’t deserve to be selected.
Comparing numbers, Millsap compares very favorably. FG% better, more rebounds, more steals.
Now, you want to make the argument Dirk is a bigger name, fine- I give that to you. As stated by others, the ASG is a popularity contest.
The larger problem is the PF slot in the West is crowded with great players. Love, Griffin, LA, Pau Gasol, Dirk, Millsap. How many can make the team? I’m a Jazz fan, but it’s hard to argue Millsap got “snubbed.” If that’s the case, so did P.Gasol. But let’s not pretend Dirk has the “edge” over Millsap, that’s simply not true.
More Howie please...
Not to mention Millsap's PER is 23.6 to Nowitzki's 20.23
Have to take PER with a grain of salt, but still- another metric in Paul’s favor.
Notable is P.Gasol’s PER of 21.16 as well
More Howie please...
Dirk is not as good as Millsap this season…plain and simple
