Utah Jazz Transaction: Utah signs Blake Ahearn from NBA-DL
The twitters are blowing up!
According to sources (here), the Jazz have signed Blake Ahearn. I do not know if this is a 10-day contract. I do not know of it is legit. I only found out about this because our brothers in arms @theutahjazzblog tweeted it to me. Oh, and he just tweeted that it is a 10 day contract. That's good news.
When I asked the SBN NBA-DL guru @ScottSchroeder about it, he did not know of the signing, but wishes him well.
Ahearn has played in 15 NBA games (with the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs) over his two year career starting in the 2007-08 season. He has played in 149 NBA-DL games though.
He is a 6'2 PG out of Missouri State University, but I think his experience shows that he is now ahead of Jeremy Evans on the depth chart at SF. You know, just because.
While writing this I checked Scott's twitter feed, and he just got a verbal confirmation from Blake that he's signed with the Jazz. Awesome. The Tribs Luhm is also all over this.
Welcome to the Utah Jazz Blake!
