"Devin, you better watch your back. We've brought in 7 PGs so far for predraft workouts."
Utah Jazz head coach Tyrone Corbin (sporting a cool salt and pepper goatee) suggested that with what we have on our team (strength inside) that we're most likely going to look at all players, even though we are big. He also said that we're going to go Best Player Available (BPA), which is what we all assumed anyway. You can catch the whole interview at the Jazz homepage here.
Next year, on contract we'll have:
- Bigs: Al Jefferson, Paul Millsap, Derrick Favors, and Enes Kanter
- Wings: Raja Bell, Gordon Hayward, Alec Burks, & DeMarre Carroll
- Points: Devin Harris, Earl Watson, & Jamaal Tinsley
That's four bigs, four wings, and three points. That said, after taking a quick look at who we have on the books . . . what do you hope the BPA is? I do think our 2nd rounder will have a shot to make the team as we need at least 13 guys, and we only have 11 guys on the books. (And I don't think we're going to bust the cap this off-season)
What type of player do you want the BPA to be?
A Bigman (PF/C) -- we never have enough! (20 votes)
A Wing (SG/SF) -- they are the key to winning! (103 votes)
A Point Guard -- We only have three right now! (75 votes)
