I had a dream last night

Just before I went to bed I read a post by Amar asking what you would be willing to give up to get into the draft and I read an article about Houston trying to move players for draft picks to try and get Dwight Howard. Somehow after I went to bed, the question changed in my mind to what I would be willing to give up to get Dwight Howard.

I woke sort of woke up after that and in my half asleep mind had decided that I would be willing to trade Derek Favors, Al Jefferson, Raja Bell, and the GSW pick. My thinking was that we would able to get bellow the cap enough to sign Deron Williams again. I was really excited. I was sad to lose Derek Favors but I was really excited.

Our team was:

Point Guard: D-Will, Harris

Wing: Hayward, Burks

Big: Howard, Millsap, Kanter

I think that would be a really great team. I also thought that we would try and move Harris for a wing. So here are my questions.

<!--[if !supportLists]-->1- 1 - <!--[endif]-->If we offered that package to Orlando would it be a good offer. I think that Favors has a good chance of becoming Dwight Howard. Plus Orlando gets a great center (top 8) in Jefferson. If they decide it isn’t working they have a $15M expiring contract to work with. They also have the GSW pick to go after talent in the next draft. I would think that Favors, Jefferson & GSW pick would be more enticing than the 4 mid range draft picks Houston can offer.

<!--[if !supportLists]-->2- 2 - <!--[endif]-->If we were able to bring in Dwight Howard, and still maintained most of our talented core, would Deron Williams sign with us? I would think that with that core and a few tweaks we would be a great team. Our MLE could be used to bolster our outside shooting and weakness at the wing.

<!--[if !supportLists]-->3- 3 - <!--[endif]-->Would we be able to sign D-Will? I know we would be somewhat close to our cap but we would be under. Can you add the TPE to the 8-$10M we will be bellow the salary cap to sing Williams? I am not sure on the finances of that idea.

<!--[if !supportLists]-->4- 4 - <!--[endif]-->If not D-Will, would a point manned by Steve Nash (could be signed with our TPE) and Harris be enough to convince Howard that we are a contender? Or if not D-Will would we be able to bring in CP3 next season?

<!--[if !supportLists]-->5- 5 - <!--[endif]-->Would we be able to keep Howard. If he is more concerned about winning I think we could definitely be the team (much more so than Brooklyn) or even Houston after they have to give everything away.
