Raja is still on the team. It has been more than a week since the Tribune reported that Bell said that he and the Jazz worked out a buyout but no official word yet.

Could the Jazz be holding onto Bell so that his contract can be used in a trade? I am no expert but it seems like the paperwork for a buyout should have been done by now. It seems like if the Jazz are working on a trade, Bell’s contract, as well as cash for a buyout, could help balance out mismatched salaries.

Does no news on Raja Bell mean that there is another trade possibly in the works? The Jazz had a few major problems going into the off season: 3 point shooting, point guard play, and too much money and skill tied into the one position.
