Now, before everyone starts to criticizes this thought, just hear me out. Everyone by now knows of the circus that is the D12 trade saga. My thought is not us getting him here for good. Its more for a "rental". The players involved to make this work is trading Milsap, Jefferson, and another player. One that is not in the core of the youngsters.
Milsap is in his final season under contract with the Jazz. According to report, he doesn't want to sign his extension of 3 years 25 million. He is perfect for a trade for this year. He was the finisher this past season and played with a lot of heart. He is a leader with the young guns.
Jefferson, also in his final year, needs to be traded this year. He is a high scoring power house for the low block. His only downfall is his defense. He has been great for our team the past 2 years. He, like Milsap, has been clutch in late game situations this year.
The reasons why these 2 players could be traded for D12. We have a very loaded front court, all of which want time to play. D12 is an All-star. If he was willing to play for the Jazz, He could really help Favors and Kanter. They would be able to split more minutes. D15 and Big Turkey have the capability to grow to a be a D12.
This is a total long shot. If the Jazz were willing to rent D12 for a year, then, use the money for the next free agency to help fill up holes would be amazing. D12 would also have to be willing to come to the Wasatch valley to play as well. The front office have had a strong off season. I am ready for Halloween.
