Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Spurs have hired Scott Layden to take the Assistant GM spot in San Antonio.

It looks like the Utah Jazz are going to need to hire at least one more coach to sit on the bench (with the specialty skill of overtly preventing guys on the bench from entering the court play area during scuffles). Jokes aside, Scott has been around the game for decades and has (and he's not an old guy) forgotten more about the game than I ever learned. He's a smart guy going to a smart organization.
