Another week of #JazzOdds, and if you're scoring at home, the Jazz didn't have a great week overall, going 0-4. The real question is, however, how did they do against the spread?! Let's take a look at last week...
Brooklyn 104, Jazz 88 (Jazz were +10, O/U was 189). Rough night in the Big Apple for the visitors, so if you had the Nets and the over, you get a point.
Winners: @da_breezman, @OhioHadley, @bjcseven, and @UtahJazzPodcast
Boston 97, Jazz 87 (Jazz were +3.5, O/U was 184.5). This one started out well in favor of our boys, but by the end of things, we lost the battle of the winless. Celtics and under was the play.
Winners: @Clarkpojo, @carty64, @BrianBonks, @da_breezman, @trillwright, and @dianaallen
Chicago 97, Jazz 73 (Jazz were +13, O/U was 187). I guess the oddsmakers had us for around 90 points against the Bulls. Luol Deng and the gang had other ideas. This was ugly early and late, and the point goes to the Bulls and the under.
Winners: @seanp33, @Run_Pappy, and @New_OrleansJazz
Toronto 115, Jazz 91 (Jazz were +8, O/U was 187.5). Well we finally got our offensive issues fixed and scored 91 points. Of course, the majority of those were once we were already down a couple dozen or three, but it is what it is. Gamblers taking the Raptors and the way over may tally a point.
Winners: @New_OrleansJazz and @da_breezman
So, that's 0-4 ATS and 2-2 O/U. So, hopefully you're a player taking advantage of our current struggles and have been putting money on the other side. I'm interested to see the spread against Denver at home. When will we finally be favored in a game this year?
That's actually kind of telling. We haven't been favored in a game this year. Vegas was betting on us being 0-7 as well (probably not from the beginning, but as we progressed), so this start shouldn't be a total surprise. That being said, it still hurts to lose. Hopefully, the long-term effects of a lousy season will pay us back for short-term pain.
Another 4 games this week (vs. the Nuggets, vs. the Pelicans, vs. the Spurs, and at the Warriors) so we'll recap again next weekend. Plenty of good seats still available for the three home games, so do your best to support our boys at the ESA!
Good luck in your picks!
