Paul Millap and Big Al

As a fan of the Jazz I'm very excited about the draft and the upcoming season. I've also become a little nostalgic when I reflect on past seasons. Not only the glory days of yore but also the most recent seasons. I quite like Paul Millsap and I also quite like Big Al. I'm a huge fan of Al as a person and a team mate and as much maligned as he may be in his inefficiencies he has also provided a great service as a team mate to some of our bigs. Any ways I'm pretty sure that nether Paul or Big Al will be back and I'm perfectly fine with that. With them moving on in their careers I do hope that they find success. Part of having success is finding a good fit. This got me thinking as to likely landing spots and where i would actually like to see these players go.

Paul Millsap

5 Likely landing spots in my mind....Atlanta, Indiana(depending on what happens to West), New Orleans, San Antonio, Miami Heat.

Where Paul would like to go....I'm just not sure. My perception (and my perception only) is that he values winning but only if that winning comes with him being a starter and main contributor. I think New Orleans would be his preference in that he would be a main offensive contributor and closer to "home." The Pelicans will be on the rise and Paul would provide some nice offense for them

Where Paul should go.... San Antonio. He most likely would be getting a lot of minutes but would be coming off the bench. He hates to come off the bench. But he would fit in very well with the Spurs mentality wise and skill wise.

Al Jefferson

5 Likely landing spots in my mind....Atlanta, Bucks, Boston, 76er's, Toronto

Where Al Jefferson would like to go...winning is important to Al. I believe he wants to be on a contender and would take a lesser role to do so. I believe he would like to go to San Antonio, Grizzlies, Nets, Boston.

Where he should go.....Boston, Big Al does he best work (.............) when the ball is in his hands. I believe that Paul Pierce is going elsewhere. Al would get his touches and with Avery Bradley, Garnett, Rondo and Jeff Green maybe they could hide some of his weaknesses. I don't know just a feeling. Big Al over Millsap needs a more specific fit in that his skill set doesn't mesh and mash as well as Paul's does with multiple teams.

I love using these fanposts to get some of my thoughts down. I find it fun. Thanks for reading and if you want to share thoughts on where you believe these two will end up I would enjoy reading them.
