2014 NBA Draft

Yes, I understand that this may be a little premature to talk about, but it's something that's been really depressing me lately. It's been depressing me because I cannot believe I have even considered the possibility that I would be in agreement with a practice such as this....tanking...or losing on purpose to get a lottery pick. I was among the many who HATED the Golden State Warriors for tanking last year and robbing the Jazz of a draft pick by the end of the season. Ultimately, they ended up with Harrison Barnes and we were left with an embarrassing and pointless sweep at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs.

There is a lot of speculation that next year will be one of the better drafts in recent memory with certain can't-miss prospects such as Jabari and Wiggins. It'll also obviously include guys like Marcus Smart and Aaron Gordon out of Arizona.

Today, I found myself dreaming that the Jazz could possibly....dare I say it...TANK for a chance at one of those can't-miss prospects. Isn't an athletic wing EXACTLY what the Jazz need (besides a non-hero-ball point guard of course). Wiggins....Parker (boy would he sell tickets in this Mormon community). It's almost too good to pass up.

Is next year the year to just go completely young, lose a lot of games, and get a great pick in a stacked NBA draft?
